Die Erfindung betrifft eine Einrichtung zum Ausrichten eines Gleises der Seite und der Höhe nach mit einer Richtvorrichtung, welche das Gleis mittels motorisch bewegbarer Schienengreifer erfaßt und so weit anhebt und rückt, bis das Gleis in bezug auf eine die Sollage festlegende Bezugsbasis die richtige Lage eingenommen hat, und die sich in Arbeitsrichtung vor den Stopfwerkzeugen einer mit ihr zusammenarbeitenden, auf dem bereits ausgerichteten Teil des Gleises fahrenden Gleisstopfmaschine befindet.
