Bekanntlich ist der Bedarf an Schmierfetten, die gegenüber Hochtemperaturarbeitsbedingungen, z. B. oberhalb 315°C widerstandsfähig sind, außerordentlich gestiegen.
Aufgabe der Erfindung ist die Schaffung eines Schmierfettes, das unter verschärften Arbeitsbedingungen widerstandsfähig und insbesondere bei Hochtemperaturanwendung wirksam ist.
Es wurde nun gefunden, daß ein Schmierfett auf der Grundlage eines Schmieröls ausgezeichnete Hochdruckeigenschaften besitzt, wenn es eine Perylentetracarbonsäurediimidverbindung der allgemeinen Formeln

ρ - Methoxyperylentetracarbonsäurediimid, welches auch im Handel erhältlich ist, wird bevorzugt.
Ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Perylentetracarbonsäurediimidverbindungen ist in der deutschen Patentschrift 386 057 beschrieben. Es besteht in der Umsetzung von Perylen-3,4,9,10-tetracarbonsäure mit Ammoniak oder mit einem primären aliphatischen oder aromatischen Amin. Modifikationen dieses Verfahrens sind in der britischen Patentschrift 26 690/13 und in den USA.-Patentschriften 2 543 747, 2 905 685 und 2 905 686 ausgeführt. Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Verbindung mit einer Dibenzoperylengruppe sind in den britischen Patentschriften 12 584/13 und 1425/14 beschrieben. Es wird auf diese Angaben über Einzelheiten in der Herstellung der Verbindungen gemäß der Erfindung Bezug genommen.
Die bei den Schmierfetten gemäß der Erfindung verwendeten öle können Mineralöle oder synthetische öle sein. Brauchbare Mineralöle besitzen eine Viskosität von mindestens 40 SUS bei 38 C und insbesondere innerhalb des Bereichs von etwa 60 SUS bis etwa 6000 SUS bei 38 C.
Synthetische Trägeröle können an Stelle von Mineralölen oder in Kombination mit diesen verwendet werden. Typische synthetische Träger sind: Polypropylen, Polypropylenglykol, Trimethylolpropanester, Neopentyl- und Pentaerythritester, Di-(2-äthylhexyl)-:>ebacat, Di-(2-äthylhexyl)-adipat, Dibutylphthalat, Polyäthylenglykol, Di - (2 - äthylhexoat), Fluorkohlenstoffe. Silicatester, Silane, Ester von pbosphorhaltigen Säuren, flüssige Harnstoffe, Derivate von metallorganischen Verbindungen aus Bis - (cyclopentadienyl) - eisen (Ferrocen - Derivate), hydrierte Mineralöle, kettenartige Polyphenyle, Siloxane und Silicone (Polysiloxane), alkylsubstituierte Diphenylether, beispielsweise ein butylsubstituierter Bis-(p-phenoxyphenyl)-äther, Phenoxyphenyläther. Polysiloxane und m-Bis-(m-phenoxyphenoxy)-benzol werden besonders bevorzugt.
Der Perylimidverdicker wird in Mengen von 5 bis 50 Gewichtsprozent, vorzugsweise von 15 bis 30 Gewichtsprozent, angewendet.
Weiter können übliche Zusätze, wie Antioxydationsmittel, Korrosionsschutzmittel, Mittel für den Viskositätsindex, Füllstoffe, z. B. kolloidales Siliciumdioxyd, Calciumacetat, Calciumcarbonat und Molybdändisulfid beigemischt werden.
Das Schmierfett wird durch einfaches Mischen der Komponenten, unter Umständen zusammen mit Methanol, hergestellt.
Mehrere Schmierstoffe wurden auf ihr Verhalten in Lagern untersucht. Die Prüfung wurde gemäß Coordinating Research Council Incorporated, Test Method L-35, durchgeführt, Diese beruht auf der Anwendung eines 204 S-17-Kugellagers, welches mit 10 000 U/min läuft. Eine Radialbelastung von 6,8 kg und eine 2,27-kg-Druckbelastung wurde angewandt. Die Lager liefen 20 Stunden lang, wurden dann angehalten und 4 Stunden lang gekühlt, wobei dies einen Arbeitsgang darstellt. Die in der Tabelle aufgeführten Schmierfette wurden in üblicher Weise hergestellt. In einigen Fällen wurden an Stelle von Siloxan Äther als Träger verwendet. In einigen Fällen wurde eine geringe Menge kolloidales Siliciumdioxyd in eine Zusammensetzung einverleibt.

Die neuen Schmiermittel können in einem weiten mit beispielsweise Phenoxyphenyläther als strah-
industriellen Anwendungsbereich verwendet werden, 40 lungsbeständige Schmiermittel verwendet werden.

Claims (1)

  1. Patentanspruch:
    Schmierfett auf der Grundlage eines Schmieröls, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß es eine Perylentetracarbonsäurediimidverbindung der allgemeinen Formeln

    worin die Reste R', R", R"' und R"" gleich oder verschieden sind und Wasserstoff, Alkyl, Cycloalkyl, Aryl, Alkaryl, Anthrachinoyl, Alkoxyaryl, Halogenaryl oder Aminoaryl bedeuten, als Verdicker enthält.
