Die Erfindung betrifft eine Fassung für einen Edelstein, eine Münze od. dgl. in Ringe, Broschen, Gehänge und dergleichen Schmuckstücke, bestehend aus einem axial durchbohrten Körper mit radialen Einschnitten, in denen jeweils ein Greifstück schwenkbar gelagert ist, das an seinem freien, oberen Ende mit einer den Edelstein oder dergleichen Gegenstand haltenden Krappe und an seinem unteren Ende mit einem Randteil versehen ist, auf den eine Klemmeinrichtung zur Schließung der Greifstücke und selbstzentrierenden Halterung des Edelsteins einwirkt.Setting for a gemstone or the like. Nach der Montage der Greifstücke 3 wird die Betätigungsschraube 6 von oben eingeführt und in demGewinde5 verschraubt, bis sie mit den inneren, nockenartig profilierten Randteilen 3' der Greifstücke zusammenwirkt. Bei offenstehenden Greifstücken 3 führt man den Edelstein 2 ein, welcher sodann beim Verschrauben der Schraube 6 mittels des Hilfswerkzeuges (Schlüssel 8, 9) von den Krappen Y' der Greifstücke 3 fest und sicher gehalten wird. Anstatt der Regulierschraube 6 könnte ein elastischer Ausdehnungsring auf die verschiedenen Greifstücke 3 wirken, wobei dieser Ring mit den nockenartig profilierten Rändern 3' der Greifstücke zusammenwirkt. Es könnten aber auch mehrere teils starre, teils elastische Ringe außen an dem Körper 1 angeordnet sein und in entsprechenden Nuten der Greifstücke gehalten sein.
