Description
Printing or pad dyeing of textile materials Aqueous dye preparations for printing and pad-dyeing textile material are thickening agents Prepared substances. Among other things, starch products are used as thickeners, natural and processed gums, locust bean gum, alginates, and more in special cases methyl and carboxymethyl cellulose, water-soluble synthetic resins such as polyvinyl alcohols, etc. are used. However, all of these thickeners are peculiar to the fact that after the water has evaporated it stiffening, often undesirable bring great brittleness with them. This is especially true with fabrics made from some synthetic fibers cause certain difficulties in further work processes. The splintering of unfixed dye particles often leads to the formation of stains. In general it can be said that the use of the thickening agents mentioned requires intensive washing of the goods after printing or block dyeing, because the softness of the textile depends on their removal.
It has now been found that surface-active esterification products can be used of higher molecular weight polyglycols with carboxylic acids with particular advantage as a thickener when printing or block dyeing textile materials. The mentioned Thickening agents also have a particular effect on polyester fiber material favorable from the fact that they have a carrier effect in addition to their thickening properties own. The esterification products can because of their strong thickening properties generally as a thickener in machine printing, film printing, for piece goods and Vigoureux printing as well as for padding textiles find use. As a surface-active Esterification products of higher molecular weight polyglycols with carboxylic acids are preferred those in question that differ from polyglycols with a molecular weight of at least 1000, advantageously from over 2000 to about 10,000. For the esterification come in particular higher molecular carboxylic acids, such as stearic acid, lauric acid, myristic acid, palmitic acid, Oleic acid and abietic acid.
According to the invention. polyglycol esters used as thickeners are equally suitable for printing and pad dyeing synthetic and vegetable products and animal fibers, e.g. B. fibers made of polyesters, super polyamides, polyacrylonitrile, Polyvinyl chloride, native cellulose, regenerated cellulose, acetyl cellulose, wool, Silk etc.
Example 1 There are 600 g of a 10% solution of a condensation product made from polyglycol with a molecular weight of 1000 and stearic acid by adding the product melts on the water bath and then stirs in hot water. Be in this solution 50 g of the dye O O NC- / - @ N @C -C @ N-CHZ-CHZ-CHz-OCH3 N O stirred in, the was first dispersed with water at about 60 ° C. It is added to 1 kg with water filled up and printed on a fabric made of polyethylene glycol terephthalate, then dried and the dye for 30 seconds in a tenter at 180 bis Fixed at 210 ° C.
The dye comes from the printed areas that have remained very soft just as well into the fiber substance as by steaming under pressure or application natural thickening agents that have been used up to now.
Then - as is the case with the use of disperse dyes on polyethylene glycol terephthalate fibers is common - rinsed, soaped and with alkali and sodium dithionite reductively aftertreated with the addition of a detergent. A particular advantage is when printing on polyethylene glycol terephthalate fibers mention that the thickening used above also has a considerable carrier effect owns, d. H. increases the abundance of the amount of dye used. example 2 A padding solution is used which contains 30 g of dye per liter as in Example 1 and 50 g of a 10% solution of the condensation product of polyglycol with a molecular weight 5000 and contains stearic acid.
A fabric made of polyethylene glycol terephthalate fibers is made with this solution printed with a picot roller, dried and heated at 190 ° C for 30 seconds. Afterward is post-treated as indicated above.
A sliver of polyethylene glycol terephthalate fibers is printed with a printing paste containing 470 g of water, 400 g of a 10% solution of the condensation product of polyglycol with a molecular weight of 1000 and stearic acid and 30 g of the dye of the formula The dried sliver is fixed at 190.degree. C. for 30 seconds and finished as indicated in Example 1.
Example 4 50 g of the thickening specified in Example 1, 15 g of sodium nitrite 1: 2 and 5 g of dye of the formula are used for 11 logs. With this approach, a fabric of polyethylene glycol terephthalate fibers is padded at 60 ° C., dried and developed for 20 seconds at 60 to 70 ° C. with 20 cc / l sulfuric acid. Then it is rinsed briefly, dried and fixed at 200 ° C. for 30 seconds. Then it is rinsed, neutralized and soaped. Example 5 600 g of a 30 ° / jgen solution of a polyglycol (molecular weight 2000) coconut fatty acid diester are used. 30 g of dye no. 56 205 (Color Index, Volume 3, 2nd edition [1956]), which had previously been dissolved in 290 g of warm water, are stirred into this solution. 80 g of diethylene glycol, 50 g of urea and 50 g of ammonium oxalate are then added. These printing pastes are used to print fabrics made of chlorinated wool and natural silk, steam for 1 hour in the star and then rinse.
