Description
Lubrication of the engine of internal combustion engines The invention relates to a lubrication of the engine of internal combustion engines, in which fuel and lubricant are supplied mixed in a ratio dependent on the load setting in the engine room, in particular lubrication according to patent 1106 553, in which the fuel is supplied below a certain load setting No lubricant at all is added or only so little that the ratio is approximately one to infinity, the engine in this load range being lubricated only by residual lubricant from operation with higher loads.
The invention has the task of regulating the inertia of the lubrication of the Reduce the engine of internal combustion engines.
Both known lubrication and the embodiments of the main patent the lubricant is mixed with the fuel so early that in the carburetor relatively large rooms, e.g. B. the float chamber, filled with the mixture are. When the load changes, it therefore takes a considerable amount of time before the new load associated amount of lubricant enters the machine room. This can be for the internal combustion engine be harmful. The invention eliminates this sluggishness of lubrication by that the lubricant in the carburetor - seen in the direction of flow of the fuel - is inserted behind the main fuel nozzle.
This practically completely eliminates the sluggishness, because the oil mixes with the gasoline in such a small space at a relatively high flow rate of the fuel that the engine has a mixing ratio even with rapid load changes which is supplied at any time to the current control slide or throttle valve position is equivalent to. As a result, the amount of oil added to the fuel can also be used will be reduced in size without endangering the lubrication of the machine. At the transition from idling to full load operation, it is only necessary to use the small amount of fuel, which is located in the nozzle channel or in the mixing tube support when idling Start of full load operation with the oil supply in the internal combustion engine equalize on the walls of the piston and the cylinder surface. The opposite is true for transition from full load operation to idling only a very small amount Fuel oil mixture sucked in, so that a pumping of oil in the exhaust and the the resulting smoke in the exhaust is avoided.
Another feature of the invention is that the line for the idle fuel is branched off in front of the main nozzle. The engine gets so in a very simple way when idling with certainty only pure fuel, so that a smoke when idling or an accumulation of excess oil in the exhaust system avoided while. the NE ratio in the various partial load areas is mutable in each case.
Further details of the invention can be found in the following description and the drawing. Two embodiments of the invention are schematic shown.
Fig. 1 shows a detail of the carburetor in partial section and Fig. 2 shows a detail of a modification, also in partial section.
In Fig. 1, the line 10 is depending on the position of Throttle valve 21 charged with oil, opens into the carburetor housing 40 and is through a line 41 connected to the nozzle channel 18 so that the oil is behind the main nozzle 17 is introduced. At this point the fuel flows at a relatively large rate Speed, and there is a small amount of fuel between the mouth 42 and the The end of the fuel column is present in the mixing tube support 19, so that especially in the areas where the carburetor has a relatively large amount of fuel is supplied (part load and full load), at the moment of the load change as well the amount of oil corresponding to the new throttle valve or control slide position flows in. The fuel flows through line 16 from the not shown Float housing closed.
When idling, the intake manifold 20 receives an air fuel mixed via the line 34, the idle nozzle 35, the line 36, the adjusting screw 37, the channel 38. Since very little fuel flows through the line 34 when idling, a short time after the throttle valve 21 located on the shaft 22 has been closed, the fuel oil mixture still reaches the intake manifold 20 in the described way.
The control sluggishness for the supply of the lubricating oil is then completely eliminated, since the idle fuel is branched off in front of the main nozzle 17 and thus - as Fig. 2 shows - via a line 43, the idle nozzle 35, the channel 36, the adjusting screw 37 and the channel 38 in. The air suction pipe 20 is passed. Because the line 41 - as seen in the direction of flow of the fuel - opens into the nozzle channel 18 behind the main nozzle 17, no oil gets into the space 44 , so that pure gasoline is immediately fed into the air flow in the suction line 20 in idle without any control inertia and thereby a major reason for the smoke in the exhaust system is eliminated.
