Description
Process for the preparation of metal silicates It is known that metal silicates are made by reacting metal salts dissolved in water with alkali metal silicates can produce.
The isolation of the pure metal silicates encounters difficulties, since the metal silicates, precipitated from aqueous solutions, form precipitates which absorb foreign ions and do not present themselves in pure form by washing out permit.
The invention is a method for the production of pure metal silicates the water-soluble metal sulfates of the 1-, 2- and 3-valent Metals used and they with sodium silicates (water glasses of different composition) implements. The concentration ratios are chosen so that the implementation Sodium sulfate formed as a result of the formation of its most water-rich compound (Na2 S 04 -I- 10 Hz O), the water introduced in the reaction binds and thus dry or almost dry metal silicates in a mixture with sodium sulfate, which are Can be cleaned effortlessly.
The reaction products thus obtained are expediently further dried. - So dust-dry intermediate products are obtained, which are then freed from the sodium sulfate formed by leaching with water and dried. - Instead of the commercially available soda waterglass with the composition Na, 0-3-4 Si 0, any soda waterglass of any composition (Na20-rich and Na20-poorer types of waterglass) can be used.

Ausbeute: 105 g.
