Die Erfindung betrifft eine elastische, für Schuhwerk, insbesondere für Gummistiefel bestimmte Einlegesohle aus Schwamm-, Schaum-, Moosgummi, Kunststoff od. dgl. Um einen Schutz gegen Kälte und Wärme zu erreichen, benutzt man insbesondere in Gummistiefeln Einlegesohlen. Zur Erzielung einer Belüftung des Schuhwerkes weisen diese elastischen Einlegesohlen auf der der Brandsohle des Schuhes zugekehrten Unterseite durch Stege oder Noppen gebildete Hohlräume auf. Durch eine beim Laufen und dem damit verbundenen Zusammendrücken der Einlegesohle sich ergebende Pumpwirkung wird das Schuhinnere belüftet.
