Der Kleiderhaken besteht aus zwei scheerenartig verbundenen S-förmig gebogenen Haken a und b, von denen der hintere α vermittelst Querstege c an die Wand oder dergl. angeschraubt wird. Beide sind mit einander drehbar verbunden, und zwar durch einen in die Nabe d von α eingeschraubten Bolzen e, welcher mit seinem in die Nabe f von b eingelassenen Bund g den Haken festhält bezw. gegen Verschiebung sichert. Die Festlegung des Hakens b mit dem Haken α geschieht durch eine am hinteren Theile der Nabe d angebrachte, unter Federwirkung h stehende Platte i, welche mit ihren Zapfen k in entsprechend in beiden Naben d und f angebrachte Löcher eingreift. Zum Zurückschieben dieser Zapfen k aus der Nabe / des Hakens c und somit zum Freigeben des letzteren dient ein Schlüssel /, welcher mit entsprechend angeordneten Stiften m versehen ist, die in die Löcher der Nabe f eingreifen. Durch Niederdrücken des Schlüssels werden die Zapfen k aus der Nabe f entfernt und durch Drehen des Schlüssels wird der Haken b von den Stiften m mitgenommen und so der Kleiderhaken geöffnet. Nun können die Kleidungsstücke an die offenen Haken angehängt werden, und zwar wird z. B. der Hut zwischen die obersten Scheeren gelegt, während der Mantel oder dergl·. mit seinen Oesen an den unteren Haken angehängt wird. Um nun auch den Stock oder Schirm mit an den Kleiderhaken anschliefsen zu können, ist an dem festen Haken α noch ein Ansatzstück η vorgesehen, welches aus einem Ringe 0 zur Aufnahme des Stockgriffes und einer sich anschliefsenden halbkreisförmigen Muldep besteht, in welche der obere Theil des Stockes sich einlegt. Das Ansatzstück η ist so mit dem Haken α verbunden, dafs nach Anschliefsen des Hakens b an α die unteren Hakentheile etwa in der Mitte vor demselben zu liegen kommen. Wird nun der Schlüssel zurückgedreht, so wird der Haken b von demselben so weit mitgenommen, bis er an den anderen Haken α anstöfst, wodurch zwei geschlossene Oesen sich bilden, durch welche Hut, Stock, Mantel u. s. w. festgehalten werden. Um einem etwaigen Beschädigen der Kleidungsstücke durch die Haken vorzubeugen, können die Enden der letzteren noch mit weichem, elastischem Materiale, z. B.
