Description

Sound film process for sound-synchronous image recording and reproduction by means of separate sound carrier device The invention relates to a method for synchronous sound film recording and playback, in which on the sound carrier from the recording camera the image step appropriate markings or pulses are recorded during playback can be compared with the frame rate of the projector.

Various methods are known which deal with the synchronous run between video and sound carriers. All of these methods only take into account the synchronicity within ± 180 ' phase of the frame rate. In the case of shifts of more than ± 180 ' , this can no longer be corrected. Such shifts occur in practice for a variety of reasons: start-up delay, operating errors on the projector, slippage on sound coupler rollers, etc. After that, there is no guarantee of absolute synchronization, especially for longer playing times.

The invention is based on the object of avoiding the aforementioned disadvantages with relatively simple means and of achieving absolute synchronization. For this purpose, correction options must also be given in the case of synchronization errors of several 360 'of the frame rate. In addition, it should be possible to use commercially available devices such as recording cameras, projectors, tape recorders, if necessary with minor modifications (installation of switching contacts). A simple additional device should take over the synchronization monitoring.

The invention consists in that the absolute given by the tape Number of marks or pulses with the number of images running in the projector is compared and kept in accordance.

It is completely irrelevant what kind of brands are (direct current, audio frequency or supersonic pulse). The marks are recorded e.g. B. in that the recording camera actuates a pulse-like contact with each image change. So you can easily note the corresponding impulses on a second track of the sound carrier. The marks noted in this way precisely characterize the temporal coincidence of image phases with regard to the sound track. There are then just as many marks on the sound carrier as there are expired images in the recording camera. During playback, the brands of the tape are given to the projector as the necessary number of images. The additional device compares the number of images specified by the tape recorder with the number of images expired in the projector and controls the projector depending on the difference plus or minus. This absolute comparison can be done mechanically, e.g. B. by stepping mechanisms.

In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown, namely Fig. 1 shows the recording, Fig. 2 shows the reproduction.

Situation bei der Aufnahme: (vgl. Abb. 1). Situation when recording: (see Fig. 1). With each change of image, the recording camera AK delivers an impulse which is marked on the sound carrier of the sound device TG in a precisely timed manner associated with the acoustic signals coming from the microphone M.

Situation bei Wiedergabe: (vgl. Abb. 2). When winding course of the sound unit TG sound recording via the loudspeaker L is played. The image mark pulses are fed to the additional device ZG via line 3. ZG receives analog impulses from the projector via line 1 , which are emitted with every change of image. These two pulse trains are counted and compared in the additional device ZG. The projector receives the command "faster" or "slower" via line 2 depending on the result of the count comparison.
