Abstract

Method for connecting an telecommunications unit to a telecommunications network switching system in which the electronic unit to be connected is expanded by the addition of at least an IP network interface. This interface enables its connection to a system via an IP network and server. The standard interface has stored configuration data for determining the type of connection to be made to the switching system. An independent claim is made for a telecommunications unit, in particular a telephone, that has an additional connection enabling its connection to an IP network.
