Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Steuervorrichtung zum Betrieb einer Walzstraße für Metallband (1), die mindestens ein Walzgerüst (3) aufweist, wobei die intrinsische Planheit (ip) des Metallbandes (1) am Auslauf der Walzstraße ermittelt wird. Um die Einhaltung einer geforderten sichtbaren Planheit (vp) des gewalzten Metallbandes (1) innerhalb vorgegebener Schranken zuverlässig und mit hinreichender Genauigkeit zu gewährleisten, wird vorgeschlagen, das Beulverhalten des Metallbandes (1) am Auslauf der Walzstraße zu messen und mittels eines Beulmodells (12) in die intrinsische Planheit (ip) des Metallbandes (1) zu übersetzen.
