Abstract
Each rider has two pedals (21,22) 180 degrees apart and the two pairs of pedals (20) work in antiphase. All four pedals are on the same crankshaft, which is held in two bearings (23). There is a shaft drive (25) to the rear wheel. Two saddles (14) are fastened side-by-side to a crossbar (16) on top of the saddle tube (15), and their distance from the centerline is adjustable. The saddles may be 0.25 to 0.70 m from the plane of the rear wheel. The two riders steer the bicycle using a single handlebar. The bicycle may be used by a single rider, with the saddle in a median position (78) and has feet on the two inner pedals.
