Abstract

A support tube (ST) (1) runs in sections crosswise to a vehicle's longitudinal axis behind the vehicle's rear seat. Retaining devices (6) for child seats fasten on the ST so that they protrude forwards into a gap in upholstery between a seat part and a seat's back so as to link to corresponding locking devices on a child seat.
