Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Legenest für Hühner mit beweglichem Nestboden und mit einer im Nesteingang herunterhängenden ein- und ausschwingbaren Schließklappe, die mit einer in Abhängigkeit von der Bewegung des Nestbodens wirkenden Schließvorrichtung zusammenarbeitet, um zu hindern, daß ein Huhn in einen bereits besetzten Nestraum eindringt.
