Vorrichtungen zum Ausziehen der Besatzfläche, die nach dem Vorbild von Gargutöfen aus der Gastronomie bekannt sind, sind für eine Anwendung im Hochtemperaturbereich nicht angezeigt, da die Gargutträger und deren Schienen sich hierbei im Brennraum befinden und aus Metall gefertigt sind, das jedoch den hohen Temperaturen in der Brennkammer eines Kammerofens für keramische Zwecke nicht standhalten würde. Der Boden der Brennkammer ist gleichzeitig die oben liegende Oberfläche einer Platte aus demselben Material wie die Ofenwände, vorzugsweise Feuerleichtstein.
