Unterstützung des Lagers gegeben ist, sondern nur eine lokale Auflage, beispielsweise, wenn Sicken am Verbindungsteller, z. B. in Form eines Blechtopfs oder dergleichen, vorgesehen sind. Da zumindest der Laufring aus Kunststoff, beispielsweise POM, ist, kann es aufgrund entweder der nur lokalen Abstützung oder der Elastizität des Verbindungstellers zu nachteiligen Verformungen im Gleitlagerbereich kommen, weshalb insbesondere in solchen Fällen Gleitlager oft nicht eingesetzt werden können. In diesen Fällen ist auf Wälzlager zurückzugreifen, die jedoch axial gesehen wesentlich mehr aufbauen. Denn über das ringförmige Verstärkungselement wird eine großflächige Versteifung im Auflagebereich erzielt, so dass sich etwaige Deformationen im Bereich des Verbindungstellers oder etwaige lokale Beanspruchungen bei steifem, jedoch nur lokal abstützendem Verbindungsteller nicht deformierend und damit nachteilig auf die Funktion des Gleitlagers auswirken. Das Gleitlager ist also durch die erfindungsgemäße Integration des ringförmigen Verstärkungselements gegen axiale Verformung geschützt.
