Dies führt zum Beispiel bei Hybridanwendungen dazu, dass bei nicht verwendetem Verbrennungsmotor (elektrischer Fahrbetrieb) und somit offener Lamellenkupplung die separate Kühlölversorgung abgeschaltet werden kann und somit geringere Schleppmomente realisiert werden. Da insbesondere bei Hybridanwendungen längere Betriebsweisen bei dem Getriebe mit geöffnetem Schaltelement auftreten können, ergeben sich bei diesen Anwendungen besonders hohe Einsparpotentiale.
