Die Karosserieteile aus Metall werden zweckmäßigerweise vor der Montage der Fahrzeugkarosserie
Um eine kostenintensive und aufwändige Lackierung der gesamten Fahrzeugkarosserie
Diese Ummantelung ist beispielsweise zusätzlich auch bei den Karosserieteilen aus Metall möglich, nachdem, wenn dies erforderlich ist, die Korrosionsschutzschicht aufgebracht wurde. Auf diese Weise kann auch bei diesen Karosserieteilen auf eine vollständige Lackierung verzichtet werden. Die lackierten Bauteile bedecken dann vorteilhafterweise, analog zu den Karosserieprofilteilen
