Vorrichtung zur im Wesentlichen liegenden Aufnahme von Frühgeborenen, Säuglingen und Kleinkindern aus, vorzugsweise gepolstertem, Tuchmaterial, mit einem Boden (2) und einer vom Boden (2) abstehenden und zusammen mit dem Boden (2) einen offenen Aufnahmeraum (6) definierenden umlaufenden Seitenwandung (4), die einen Kopfteil (4a) und einen vom Kopfteil (4a) entfernt gelegenen Fußteil (4b) sowie einen an den Boden angrenzenden ersten Abschnitt (4c) und einen vom Boden entfernten zweiten Abschnitt (4d, 4e) mit einem eine Öffnung des Aufnahmeraumes (6) begrenzenden freien Rand aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der die Länge des Aufnahmeraumes (6) definierende Abstand zwischen dem Kopfteil (4a) der Seitenwandung (4) und dem Fußteil (4b) der Seitenwandung (4) derart bemessen ist, dass ein in den Aufnahmeraum (6) zu legendes Frühgeborene oder Kleinkind oder zu legender Säugling (18) in einer angewinkelten Stellung seiner Beine (18a) mit dem Kopf (18b) in Anlage an den Kopfteil (4a) der Seitenwandung (4) und mit den Füßen (18c) in Anlage an den Fußteil (4b) der Seitenwandung (4) bringbar ist, wobei der Abstand des freien Randes des zweiten Abschnittes (4d, 4e) der Seitenwandung (4) vom Boden (2) im Fußteil (4b) größer als im Kopfteil (4a) ist.Device for essentially lying down accommodation of premature babies, infants and small children, made of preferably padded cloth material, with a base (2) and a peripheral side wall protruding from the base (2) and defining an open accommodation space (6) together with the base (2). Dabei macht sich die Erfindung die Erkenntnis zu Nutze, dass zwar die wichtigsten Reize das junge Gehirn aus der Umgebung erhält, dies jedoch besonders im Zusammenhang mit einer räumlichen Begrenzung gilt, denn nur mit einer solchen Begrenzung ist das Gehirn in der Lage, die erwähnte „Körperkarte“ erfolgreich anzulegen. Da somit die Vorrichtung aufgrund der erfindungsgemäßen Konstruktion hinsichtlich der räumlichen Begrenzung eine künstliche Gebärmutter nachbildet, kann für die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung auch die Bezeichnung „Nest“ oder „Frühchennest“ gewählt werden, auch wenn sich die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung nicht nur für Frühgeborene, sondern auch für Säuglinge und Kleinkindern erfolgreich verwenden lässt.Due to the relative spatial narrowness provided by the construction according to the invention, the young brain of the premature baby, infant or small child, which is still in the growth stage, is enabled to absorb many stimuli particularly effectively.
