Abstract

The invention has for its object to provide a therapy or training device with which the possibility is created to promote the building of as many muscles of the body as possible and to train the sense of balance. The device should have a high level of availability and independence from external conditions.

The solution to this problem by the invention provides that two floating bodies are provided for attachment to each foot of a person using the device, with at least one wall being arranged in the tub, which is a limitation for the floating bodies in a horizontal longitudinal direction or horizontal Form transverse direction.

The at least one wall is preferably adjustable in its position relative to the tub.

Each floating body can consist of a buoyancy body which has a receiving space for a foot of the person using the device or for an application. The floats that are part of the device can be provided in different sizes for different weight classes of the people using the device. In order to compensate for the different foot sizes, inserts can be provided which correspond in their external dimensions to a receiving space in the floating body. The inserts are available in different foot sizes, whereby individually adapted inserts for special foot positions are also possible.

If a longer use or a longer training is envisaged, the person using the device can have their individual inserts made, which are then fixed in the float during the training.

The inserts are disinfected if used briefly. Polyethylene (PE) has proven itself as a material; this material is antibacterial and is very suitable for buoyancy in water. A PE foam with a closed cell structure is preferably used.

The proposed design of the device makes it possible to move in the area of the surface of the water that was let into the tub by means of the floating bodies, with only a small draft being achieved. The proposed device can be used very advantageously in rehabilitation after an accident. At the same time, it also enables effective training for athletes.

A high degree of security is advantageously provided when using the device, which results in particular from the possibility of securing via the rope. It is also an advantage that the therapist can ensure that the user of the device does not get wet by pulling the rope appropriately.
