Abstract

Description

1st problem:

Everyone knows the situation after visiting a public toilet. After having thoroughly washed one's hands and, if necessary, also disinfected, one must touch a door handle that is contaminated with bacteria when leaving. Due to the contaminated doorknob exposing you to the risk of illness, as unfortunately not everyone cleans their hands after their visit to the toilet. This danger is exposed to every public toilet (restaurant, work, hospital, department stores, etc.) every day. Especially in the areas where the highest hygiene regulations are required, such. In hospitals, restaurants, grocery stores, etc., this is a risk factor in which bacteria and germs are carried on to third parties and thus people are infected with diseases,

2. The idea:

The idea is based on disinfecting the door handle / door handle of the toilet exit door (or any other door). This ensures that due to the disinfectant on the door handle, no bacteria or diseases can be passed. No matter whether the previous persons have washed their hands or not.

3. The function:

The idea should be implemented technically as follows:
At the top of the door, a bottle of disinfectant is attached, which can be replaced again and again if the contents should be used up. From the bottle, a hose through the inside (can also be done if necessary from the outside) of the door to the door handle / doorknob so that the disinfectant is connected to the pawl or the handle.

In the handle or in the latch are fine small holes through which the disinfectant is sprayed every time the handle is pressed down. In the case of a handle that is not moved mechanically, the disinfectant is sprayed by a built-in photocell (similar to the men's urinal, in which the flush is activated after leaving), which is in the immediate vicinity of the handle and sprayed in / on this. This ensures that the idea can be applied to both a mechanical and a non-mechanical door handle / latch.

Annotation:

The disinfectant is sprayed only in the hand, which also touches the handle / pawl. Thereafter, the disinfectant must be rubbed with both hands, so that the other hand is disinfected.

4. Advantage:

The advantage of the idea is that after visiting a public toilet, people leave with their hands disinfected. The risk of becoming infected with bacteria and diseases at a public toilet exit door should thus be minimized. But also the disgust that many visitors feel when leaving, should be reduced.

For example, in restaurants, where even there can not be 100% ensured the staff that proper hygiene after the toilet visit is operated, the idea can be used. The risk of contaminated food being passed on to guests is also minimized here. Of course, this also applies to hospitals and medical practices.

5. Applications:

The idea can be used virtually with every toilet door, whether private or public. Theoretically, you can already install as a prophylaxis the handle on the interior and exterior of the actual toilet doors. The advantage is that already there the hands are cleaned after leaving the toilet with disinfectant. It does not matter if the visitor does a hand cleaning or not. Hereby a further minimization of the risk of the transmission of bacteria etc. is obtained.
