Abstract

According to the current state of the art, there is no satisfactory method for correcting visual abnormalities of the skin (eg scars) which is at the same time effective, gentle and inexpensive.
For the purpose of renewed excitation of wound healing, grid-shaped incisions are made in the visually impaired skin area with the aid of a sufficiently fine cutting tool (eg scalpel blade). Cutting width and patterns may vary (s. and ). The leakage of cuts in the visually inconspicuous surrounding tissue to create soft transitions is recommended. Pre-anesthesia with low pain tolerance is possible. The additional application of ointments is possible. After a few days of healing, a clear visual improvement of the cutaneous defect (eg a scar) is to be expected. Even a repigmentation is possible. If necessary, the procedure can be repeated with sufficient time intervals until a satisfactory visual improvement of the dermal remainder has been achieved.
Areas of application: Particular mention should be made here of, but not limited to, scars in their variety of appearance: hyper- or hypotrophic scars, acne scars, scar keloids, hyper- or hypopigmented scars or otherwise visually striking scars. Numerous methods for the optical correction of dermatological scars or other optical skin aberrations and abnormalities of the skin are already known.

Not to conclude, here are some listed, along with their disadvantages:

1. Excision of the affected skin area

• Disadvantages: invasive surgery, high costs, cosmetic result uncertain, (renewed) scarring possible, not practicable with large-area abnormalities

2. dermabrasion

• Disadvantages: cosmetic effectiveness questionable, relatively invasive, relatively expensive, induction of (renewed) scarring possible

3. Laser treatment

• Disadvantages: very expensive, effectiveness questionable, induction of (renewed) scarring possible

4. Scar patches

• Disadvantages: usually low cosmetic effects, thus also questionable effectiveness

There are still more countless procedures to mention, but they would go beyond the scope of this application.

Description of the method:

In contrast, the procedure presented here combines the advantages of a mostly outstanding cosmetic result with a low invasiveness in low-risk and gentle application despite low costs.

Due to the possibility of an extremely targeted application of the incisions both in terms of locality and the size of the area, it is possible to carry out a "trial run" at a first exemplary small spot without high costs or risks to the optically positive effect on the candidate Areal to be evaluated in advance. The procedure can be repeated after the affected area has healed until a satisfactory cosmetic effect has been achieved.

The width of the blade when using this method correlates with various advantages, but also disadvantages.

The broader this turns out, the bigger the "corrective" and beautifying effect of the current stain, eg. As a scar, and thus are expected to fewer treatment procedures necessary to achieve a satisfactory result.

Furthermore, wider or deeper cuts are inherently more painful and generally more invasive, resulting in a longer healing time, but usually never exceeds a few days.

Nevertheless, it is recommended to choose a very small and fine cutting width or depth, to observe the course of the visual enhancement after or after the first treatments exactly and proceed in a correspondingly controlled pace, which as already described, both by the cutting width as well as the depth of cut, as well as the distance of the cuts can be varied.

In principle, a certain minimum distance between the cuts should be adhered to, recommended in about 1 mm, so that regeneration of the areas injured by the treatment can take place between the lesions located, untreated and thus uninjured areas of the skin. This facilitates and improves wound healing and has a positive effect on the aesthetics of the result, because from the intact skin islands, the cells involved in wound healing have a short path to the areas to be repaired.

This applies in particular to the melanocytes, which are destroyed in the injured tissue and frequently lead to hypopigmentation of scars, so that a positive, if not largely corrective effect on hypopigmented areas is to be expected.

If necessary, an anesthetic ointment may be applied prior to application of the incisions and with low pain tolerance.

After application of the cuts, ointments or other medicaments which have a positive effect on wound healing or scar formation can additionally be applied, but this is not absolutely necessary for a cosmetically satisfactory result. The same applies to scar patches and scar creams of all kinds.

Despite the extremely low invasiveness of the method and the extremely low risk of wound infection, work should be sterile and the treated area should be covered germ-free after completion of the treatment.

The severity of the entire lesion is comparable to that of a slight abrasion.

The renewed impetus for wound healing is to be regarded as the main cause of the beautifying effect. The mechanical setting of the injuries is in my opinion not only because of the much lower costs superior: Lasers usually set punctiform injuries, similar to the Needling (needles of the skin) z.
