Hierzu tragen die musterhaft gestalteten Basisträger und Strukturträger bei, die aus Metall bzw. Kunststoff -auch Verbundwerkstoff, d.h. z.B. CFK- bestehen. Der Basisträger und der Strukturträger sind zu einem Bauteil zusammengefasst oder baulich vereinigt, wobei der Basisträger zumindest abschnittsweise vom Strukturträger umgeben ist, was durch Umgießen, Umschäumen oder Umspritzen erreichbar ist. Der Strukturträger weist einen ausgeklügelten Aufbau auf, denn er ist von oben gesehen U-förmig gestaltet und besitzt Dachseitenträger und ein Mittelteil, die zur Bauteilvereinfachung aus einem Stück hergestellt sind. Der Strukturträger ist dann zusätzlich vorteilhaft ausgeführt, wenn er in einem vorderen Bereich eine erste Verdickung aufweist, die sich in Fahrtrichtung keilförmig verjüngt und zur Aufnahme von Verschlusselementen, Fixierungselementen geeignet ist. Darüber hinaus besteht mit der Verdickung die Möglichkeit, eine gezielte Versteifung des Strukturkörpers und damit auch der Dachkappe zu erreichen.
