Abstract

The fixed-bed gasification reactor (1), to produce a pyrolysis gas from biomass and other organic materials, has a vertical screw (2) within the cylindrical interior (13) to give an even distribution and mixing action to the biomass. The screw rotates around an axis (21) between the cover (141) and the base (142) through a drive motor (22). The screw is composed of perforated or grid plates. The vertical screw also passes through the upper biomass drying section (4).
