Erfindungsgemäß wird die Dichtwirkung zwischen den einzelnen Dichtelementen dadurch erzielt, dass benachbarte Dichtelemente z. B. mit Dichtlippen ineinander greifen und dadurch verpresst und gegeneinander abgedichtet werden. Da auf Zwischenwände zwischen benachbarten Kontakten bzw. Kabeln, wie sie bei Einzeladerabdichtungen erforderlich sind, verzichtet werden kann, lässt sich der Kontaktabstand um eine Wandstärke plus dem Überlapp zwischen beiden Dichtlippengeometrien reduzieren. Die Dichtelemente können nur ein einziges Durchgangsloch (Einzeladerabdichtung) oder mehrere Durchgangslöcher aufweisen. Die Geometrie der Einzeladerabdichtung ist dabei – im Gegensatz zu bekannten Einzeladerdichtungen – nicht mehr rotationssymmetrisch um die durchgeführten Kabel, sondern dem Raster der Kontaktanordnung angepasst (d. h. im einfachsten Fall quadratisch bei Anordnung der Kontakte in einem quadratischen Raster).
