Die menschliche Haut ist einer Vielzahl innerer und äußerer mechanischer Belastungen ausgesetzt. Die Oberhaut und Lederhaut sind daher dehnbar und elastisch. Werden die elastischen Fasern insbesondere der Oberhaut z. B. durch Überdehnung oder Verdünnung zu stark belastet, resultiert daraus das jedem Laien bekannte Bild der Hautdehnungsstreifen (Striae). Zunächst sind solche Streifen weißlich bis bläulich verfärbt und glatt; danach tritt eine Fältelung ein und der Gesamtstreifen erscheint gegenüber der Umgebung eingesunken. Das bekannteste Beispiel derartiger Dehnungsstreifen sind die Schwangerschaftsstreifen. Aber auch Gewichtszunahme im jungendlichen Alter kann zu derartigen Streifen führen, ebenso wie bestimmte Hormonkuren. Selbst bei Männern im fortgeschrittenen Alter kann das Phänomen der männlichen Scheinschwangerschaft, im Volksmund auch „Bierbauch” genannt zu Hautdehnungsstreifen führen. Voraussetzung für die Entstehung von Hautdehnungsstreifen ist nicht nur die Volumenzunahme in der Tiefe (Leibesfrucht, Fett- oder Wasserablagerung), sondern auch das Vorliegen einer hormonalen Veränderung, die die funktionelle Beeinträchtigung (Zerstörung) der elastischen Fasern begünstigt. Hautdehnungsstreifen können nach dem Stande der Technik nicht mehr zum Verschwinden gebracht werden. 27 Probandinnen, die vor wenigstens 6 Monaten und höchstens 2 Jahren ein Kind geboren hatten und bei denen sich im Verlauf der Schwangerschaft Schwangerschaftsstreifen gebildet hatten, trugen das erfindungsgemäße Hautpflegeöl 2 mal täglich mit etwa 10 minütiger Massage auf die entsprechenden Hautareale über einen Zeitraum von 6 Monaten auf. Das Testareal wurde im Verlaufe der Untersuchung regelmäßig mit dem SELS-Verfahren (Surface Evaluation of Living Skin), mittels B-Scan (Ultraschall) sowie weiterer Untersuchungsmethoden (u. a. Elastizität mittels Cutometer, Vergleichsfotos) untersucht. Dabei konnte festgestellt werden, dass sich
- • die Hautschuppigkeit um 62% reduzierte (in unbehandelten Vergleichsarealen 28%),
- • die Fläche des Narbenbereiches um 33% reduzierte,
- • die Schwangerschaftsstreifen um 22% reduzierten.
