Durch das Gussteil kann der Kraftfluss besser gelenkt bzw. beeinflusst werden, wodurch geringere lokale Belastungen auftreten und wodurch zusätzlich angebrachte Verstärkungen, wie beispielsweise angeschweißte Bleche, entfallen können.
