Abstract
The optical coupling has a collector element (24a,24b) inserted in the light transmission path (18) between the light conductor (14) and the optical component, e.g. a light source (13b), together with a dispersion element (22b,22c), which can be provided by the surface structure of one end face of a light guide element acting as the collector element and which provides a uniform distribution of light at the end face of the light conductor. The collector element and/or the dispersion element is integrated in the ferrule (16b) enclosing the individual optical fibres (15) of the light conductor. An independent claim for a light conductor network with a number of optical couplings is also included.
