Abstract

A machine (10) for handling sheet material has a deposit compartment for taking sheet material and a return compartment for issuing sheet material to be withdrawn. Deposit and issue compartments are separated from each other only by comparatively thin, movable intermediate base plates (40) and sealed in an enclosed position by a common cover (30) but made accessible in an open position. Description

Die Erfindung geht aus von einer Vorrichtung nach der Gattung des Hauptanspruchs. Eine Vorrichtung dieser Art ist beispielsweise aus der US- A-3 934 693 bekannt. Darin ist eine Maschine zur Entgegennahme und Ver arbeitung von einzuzahlenden Banknoten beschrieben. Die Zuführung von durch die Maschine zu bearbeitenden Banknoten erfolgt dabei, nachdem der Benutzer sich durch Eingabe einer Geheimnummer identifiziert hat, mittels einer aus dem Maschinengehäuse ausfahrbaren Schublade, in welche die Banknoten abgelegt werden. Sind alle einzuzahlenden Banknoten eingelegt, wird die Schublade in die Maschine eingezogen. In der Maschine werden die Banknoten gezählt und auf Echtheit geprüft. Als nicht gültig erkannte Noten werden in ein zur Maschinenaußenseite hin offenes Rückgabefach gefördert und dem Benutzer zur Rücknahme bereitgelegt. Anstelle einer ausfahrbaren Schublade kann für die Banknoteneingabe auch ein in einem Eingabefach angeordnetes stationäres Tablett vorgesehen sein, dessen offene Eingabeseite nach Eingabe der Banknote durch eine schwenkbare Abdeckung verschlos sen wird. Die solchermaßen bekannte Maschine erlaubt das gleichzeitige Einlegen einer Mehrzahl von Banknoten und ermöglicht eine hohe Bearbei tungsgeschwindigkeit. Sie erfordert vom Benutzer allerdings eine gewisse Bedienungsaufmerksamkeit bzw. ein Verständnis der Arbeitsweise der Ma schine. Beachten muß der Benutzer insbesondere, daß für nicht gültig befun dene Banknoten über das Rückgabefach, d. h. räumlich vom Eingabeort ge trennt, zurückgegeben werden.
