Description
- Fixierungs-und Lösungsmittel für Riechstoffe und kosmetische Grundstoffe Die in der Parfümerie viel verwendeten Lösungsmittel, wie beispielsweise Phthalsäureester, Citronensäureester und Glykole, sind zwar geruchlos, doch haben sie die Nachteile, entweder bitter zu schmecken, nicht völlig ausreichend zu lösen oder physiologisch nicht ganz unbedenklich zu sein. Es wurde nun gefunden, daß das in der Natur vorkommende Bisabolen und Bisabolol wie die Ester des letzteren zwar sehr schwach riechen, aber alle Riechstoffe und ätherischen Ole wie auch die Harzdrogen ausgezeichnet lösen und d darüber hinaus die Riechstoffzusammensetzungen geruchlich egalisieren. Gelegentlich erweisen sich selb, st Zugaben von weniger als 1% günstig, doch können auch Zugaben bis zu etwa 95 °/o erfolgen, zumal dann, wenn das Bisabolol oder Bisabolen als Lösungsmittel für teure oder stark riechende Produkte verwendet werden soll, wie beispielsweise Iron, Jasminblütenöl, Rosenöl, Cyclopentadecanolid, Kamillenöl, Nonadienol u. dgl. m.
- Im Gegensatz zu den Phthalsäureestern und Glykolen haben Bisabolol und Bisabolen keine hautreizenden Eigenschaften, sondern sie wirken sogar hautpflegend.
- Die fixierenden Eigenschaften des Bisabolens und Bisabolols sind sehr ausgeprägt. So haftet beispielsweise eine alkoholische Lösung von Cumarin oder Heliotropin nach Zugabe e von 1 bis 5% Bisabolol wesentlich länger, und die Duftwirkung ist angenehmer. Der Eigengeruch kommt nicht zum Vorschein. Die Verbesserung des Haftvermögens kommt fast in allen Duftmischungen zum Ausdruck. Bisabolol und Bisabolen sind ferner brauchbare Lösungsmittel für bekannte kosmetische Grundstoffe wie Lanolin, Wachse, Cetylalkohol, Stearinsäure, Farben, Fettsäureester usw. Die wesentlich günstigeren Eigenschaften des Bisabolols und des Bisabolens tragen zu einer beachtlichen Verbesserung der RiechstofFkompositionen bei, was nicht vorauszusehen war, denn beide kommen in der Natur nur in vereinzelten ätherischen Ölen in meist untergeordneten Mengen vor. In der Eignung gleichwertig sind synthetisch hergestelltes Bisabolol oder Bisabolen (Literatur : P. de Mayo, Mono- and Sesquiterpenoids, Vol. II, S. 184, 192 ; P. K a r r e r, Lehrbuch der organischen Chemie, 12. Auflage, 1954, S. 676, 677).
