Es ist bekannt, dafs der Treibriemen an Nähmaschinen an seinem oberen Ende durch eine sogenannte Riemenkappe geschützt wird, welche entweder in kurzer Form an dem hinteren Theile des Maschinenarmes oder in verlängerter Form auf der Fundamentplatte fest angeschraubt ist. Die verlängerte Riemenkappe dient aufserdem noch als Träger des bekannten Spulapparates, während im ersteren Fall derselbe am Nähmaschinenarm angebracht ist; in beiden Fällen wird aber der Spuler durch Andrücken an das Schwungrad in Bewegung gesetzt, zu welchem Zweck bis jetzt das Auslösen des Rades entweder von Hand oder durch den Spuler vermittelst eines complicirten Mechanismus vorgenommen werden mufste, welcher nicht gestattete, sich selbsttätig auslösende Spuler anzuwenden und dabei auch beim selbsttätigen Ausschalten des Spulers sofort selbstthätig die Kuppelung zu bewirken.It is known that the drive belt on sewing machines through at its upper end a so-called belt cap is protected, which either in a short form on the rear parts of the machine arm or in an extended form on the foundation plate is firmly screwed on.
