The technical solution concerns the new design of the tactical vest used to carry other tactical equipment, such as pouches and holsters, when the vest can be used as a plate carrier.

Current state of the art

Tactical vests are used to carry other tactical equipment such as pouches and holsters. Ballistic (bulletproof) vests are used to protect their wearer against a bullet hitting the chest or back area. So that it is not necessary to wear two types of vests, one protective and the other practical for attaching accessories and tools, there is a combination of both types of vests, which is designated as a plate carrier. It is a vest with built-in ballistic protection, which on the outside has the functionality of a tactical vest.

Current plate carriers (NPP - armor plate carriers) use a system of external attachment on their surface with the help of so-called molle straps - nylon straps with a width of 2.5 cm, where one part of the straps is firmly attached to the vest and the other part is always on the pockets / sumkâch, which are attached to the stretcher. The pocket is attached by threading a row of strap loops and secured by threading it into the bottom row attached to the carrier, and the whole thing forms the so-called "molle system". This system, or this technical solution is the only one currently used for attaching plates to vests. This type of attachment allows the user modularity, as it is not dependent on the vest's manufacturer's predetermination and can arrange the pockets and pouches as desired.

MOLLE is an abbreviation for Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment. This complete system of equipment uses PALS links. The MOLLE label, as an original, only applies to the binding developed and manufactured for the armed forces of the US Army, the British Army and many of the armed forces of the NATO alliance. The MOLLE system was introduced in 1997, expanded massively after September 11, 2001 and the subsequent deployment of the US Army in Afghanistan, and became the standard for modular tactical equipment, such as tactical vests and ballistic plate carriers or backpacks, tactical belts, various carrying panels and many other entertainments. It replaced the original ALICE system used in the first modular vests, when the ALICE system is still used by some police forces.

Of course, for practical or safety reasons, it is advisable for the person carrying the plate to remove it well and quickly from the wearer's body. As a slow and ineffective solution, classic connecting elements between the side straps and the back or front part of the vest, such as buckles or velcro, are used. To unfasten the side belts faster, quick unfastening is used with the help of special plastic clips. Plate carrier, which uses a quick release with the help of a plastic clip, which is located on the side, but creates a blind spot for attaching the necessary equipment. Here is the biggest problem of all the carriers, who still manage to unfasten the vests in the same way, and thanks to this, the full potential of the side system (belt) of the vest cannot be used. Manufacturers of plate carriers and tactical vests stick to the same captive system, which is not 100% connectable and does not use the full potential of the sides and cover the deaf spot when using quick release vests.

The need for fast unfastening and unfastening, as well as good adjustability, also applies to the shoulder straps. For the purpose of quick release, existing technical solutions use a quick release system, which

The simultaneous combination of ballistic and tactical vests in the plate carrier does not allow full use of the advantages of both types of vests.

In addition to the current plate carrier, I do not allow the insertion of ballistic protection from the front and the combination of different sizes for one type of carrier. Plate carriers are made according to SAPI (Small Arms Protective Insert) size - S, M, L, XL. This is the size (dimensions) for inserting ballistic (hard) protection. Furthermore, the current system does not allow the exchange of internal parts of the so-called linings - padding, or the connection of soft ballistic protection inserts, which could be combined for one model of a plate carrier.

The aim of the inventor was to invent a combination that uses its own pouch / pocket attachment, without the use of a molle strap and is able to use the entire length of the sides even when using a quick throw, to further design a type of plate carrier that would be universal for all sizes of ballistic protection and have a system for inserting ballistic plate from the front and further customize the back system so that it is possible to use Velcro to change the types of linings and add soft ballistic protection.

The essence of the technical solution

The above-mentioned shortcomings are eliminated by the new design of the tactical vest consisting of a back part and a front part, both connected to each other by shoulder straps and side straps, according to this technical solution, the essence of which lies in the fact that the side strap is provided along its entire length on the outside with dry with a zipper (hair) and approximately in the middle of its length it is divided into an inner part with a quick-release mechanism and an outer part for using the sides along its entire length, while the front part is equipped with a fastening flap in its lower part for fixing the part of the side waist with a quick-release mechanism. The inner part with a quick release mechanism is the same length as the outer part to use the sides along its entire length. The inner part of the side belt has, behind the quick release mechanism, a part with a hook and loop fastener (inside the hook, outside the hair) for attaching the inner part of the side belt to the front part equipped with a hook and loop fastener (hair). The fastening flap of the front part is equipped with a hook and loop fastener (a hook resting on the outside of the inner part of the side part, which is equipped with hair on its outside). The outer part of the side belt has a hook and loop fastener on the inside and a hook and loop fastener on the outside.

The shoulder belt of the tactical vest is advantageously composed of two parts - the front part of the shoulder belt and the back part of the shoulder belt. The front part of the shoulder girdle is firmly connected to the front part and the back part of the shoulder girdle is firmly connected to the back part. The back part of the shoulder belt is covered on both sides with a Velcro fastener and has a removable and adjustable hook-and-loop flap at the end. The tuna lapel is covered in the middle with a hook and loop fastener, on which the back part of the shoulder belt is placed with its inner side. After being closed with Velcro, the hood flap creates a hood, in which both parts - the front and back parts of the shoulder strap - fastened with Velcro are placed. The front part of the shoulder belt is covered on its lower side with a Velcro fastener and equipped at its end with a strap for passing through a tunnel created from a tunnel flap for quick unfastening by pulling out the front part from the back part of the shoulder strap. Thanks to the dry zipper, the front and back parts of the shoulder strap can be adjusted to the desired length according to the size of the figure.

The front part and the back part are advantageously equipped with a zipper for opening and closing the backpack pocket along their sides and upper part. Inside the pocket, on the side facing the body of the vest wearer, is a Velcro (hair) to which the straps are attached, into which the ballistic protection or comfort padding is inserted.

The advantage of the technical solution is the practicality and better tactical usability of the entire vest for its wearer. In particular, the full use of the length of the side straps is achieved, due to the fact that they cover the blind spots of the connecting mechanisms (mostly quickly unfastened). Thanks to the structural solution of the shoulder straps, discomfort is eliminated and there is a better possibility of choosing a suitable place for locking the butt of a long weapon against the body of the vest wearer, as well as a better adjustment of the length of the shoulder straps to the size of the body of the vest wearer. Thanks to the pockets for inserting ballistic protection, it is not necessary to purchase a special size for each size of the potential wearer of the vest, rather, the tactical vest is made in one size and can change the internal ballistic protection, as well as the padding, according to specific needs.

Fig. 1 shows the current state of the art in the field of tactical vests, i.e. a vest whose side belt has a visible and uncovered quick release mechanism, which is also on the shoulder belt. An example of the implementation of a technical solution

The tactical vest consists of the rear (back) part 2 and the front part 1, which are connected via the shoulders and collarbones of the vest wearer, the front part 6 with the back part 7 of the shoulder belt, and from the sides around the sides of the vest wearer with side belts 3. Separate side belt 3 consists of two strips of fabric with a width of 10 cm, where on the outside along the entire length of the side strip there is a Velcro strip with laser-cut molle binding 11, both for the use of new components of ballistic protection and for attaching bags 12, with the use of molle straps. Two strips of fabric are sewn to approximately half the length of the side strip 3. From about halfway, the side strip 3 is divided into the inner part 4 of the side strip with quick release mechanism 8 and the outer part 5 of the side strip 3 to use the sides of the vest along its entire length. The outer side of the outer part 5 forms a continuation of the outer side of the side band 3 from the places where both strips of fabric were sewn together. The side belt 3 has a quick release mechanism 8 on the inner part 4 in the front part, which is covered by the outer part 5 to use the side of the vest along its entire length. In this way, full use of the hips along the entire length is achieved when using the quick unfastening of the vest. The inner part 4 of the side belt 3 itself consists of a strip of fabric to which a quick-release mechanism 8 is connected with a strip of fabric with a hook-and-loop fastener, which is used to attach the front part 1 to the hook-and-loop fastener and to cover the fastening flap 10. pâsu 3, respectively bags or other accessories are placed on the outer part 5. The tactical vest consists of a front part 1 and a back part 2, where both parts 1, 2 are connected by side straps 3 and shoulder straps, which consist of the front parts 6 of the shoulder strap and the back parts 7 of the shoulder strap. The front part 6 of the shoulder belt is firmly fixed to the front part 1 and the back part 7 of the shoulder belt is firmly fixed to the back part 2. In the same procedure on the other shoulder, the wearer of the vest unfastens the vest attached to his body in the shoulder part, specifically unfastening in the shoulder part through the separate front part 6 of the shoulder belt and the back part 7 of the shoulder strap, front part 1 and back part 2. To successfully discard the entire tactical vest it is also necessary to disconnect the side belts 3.

This design of the two-part shoulder strap is not a necessary part of the tactical vest, it is only a convenient design.

The bags have a 10 cm wide Velcro (hook) on the back for attachment to the side belt 3 or the front part 1. The inside of the bags are sewn with 2.5 cm wide straps on the top and bottom. The straps on the upper side of the bag are sewn between two Velcro fasteners (hook and hook) and on the lower side (hair and hair). They managed to fasten the bag through part 5 of the side waist 3 to use the sides of the vest along its entire length, where you can combine the Velcro from the back, where you can choose from the Velcro options - a hook for attaching to the front part 1, or a hair on the body. All bags can be changed within a few seconds to any place and anywhere along the entire length of the side waist 3 from its outside.

The bags can also be fixed only with Velcro on the inner part 4 of the side waist 3 with a quick release mechanism, specifically on its part equipped with a Velcro, when the bag attached in this way can be fixed by overlapping the outer part 5 of the side waist 3 to use the sides of the vest along its entire length, with the fact that other tactical equipment can be attached to the outer part 5 and the velcro or molle binding 11 located on the outside.

The tactical vest can be equipped with a large front pocket on the front part 1 of the vest, when such a pocket serves as one huge storage space and uses the same side belts 3 that are intended for plate carriers. This achieves a complete connection between the plate carrier and the tactical vest, and it is thus possible to combine these two carrier systems as desired.

Both the front part 1 and the back part 2 of the tactical vest can be completely formed by a backpack pocket 15, to which there is access through a zipper 16 for opening and closing the backpack pocket 15, when the zipper 16 is located on the perimeter of the sides of the front part 1 and the back part 2 and the top sides of the front part 1 and the back part 2. This is formed from the front part 1 and the back part 2, or their inner part is a backpack pocket 15, inside which, on the wall adjacent to the wearer's body, there is a Velcro 13 for attaching straps, for inserting ballistic protection or comfortable linings, according to preference and required size.

All velcro fasteners require an opposite piece of velcro fastener to function, which is usually found on an accessory or on another part of the tactical vest or another attachable part (e.g. side belt 3) with which it is to be connected. Velcro is either a "hair" or "drap" variant (either "hook" or "hook"), without a specific claim to a specific variant. Advantageously, all parts of the tactical vest visible from the outside and accessible to the human hand at first touch are equipped with a Velcro in the "hair" variant, which is soft and does not catch the fabric. Where there is a velcro in the "hair" variant, the attached/connected part is in the "drap" variant and vice versa.
