Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a la condensación de compuestos o elementos en fase gaseosa, típicamente metales tales como el magnesio, obtenidos mediante procesos de reducción. Estos incluyen procesos metalotérmicos y carbotérmicos. La esencia de la invención consiste en un método para la condensación de un material gaseoso que comprende proporcionar una corriente de gas que comprende el vapor, pasar la corriente de gas a través de una tobera la cual tiene una configuración convergente corriente arriba y una configuración divergente corriente abajo de manera que el vapor se acelera en el interior de la tobera y se expande y se enfría en la salida de la tobera induciendo así a que el vapor se condense para formar un haz de gotitas líquidas o partículas sólidas en la cámara de condensación, en donde el haz de gotitas o partículas se dirige para impactar sobre un baño de medio de recolección de líquido fundido manteniendo a una temperatura por encima del punto de fusión del material de vapor condensado caracterizado porque la recolección comprende un flujo de sal que tiene un peso específico menor que el del material de vapor condensado. También se describe un aparato para la ejecución del método.
