Abstract

The present invention is directed to provide a simple, effective and economical process for obtaining water from the air from a better use of solid desiccants using a high heating cycle in a confined volume, and avoiding the use of a refrigerated condensing plate . The process consists of loading the adsorbent material, which captures water vapor from the environment. Next, a discharge stage occurs, whereby an area of the desiccant material is exposed to controlled heating in the confined volume. A collection chamber is adapted under the drum, which allows condensation of the water vapor released from the desiccant material. The water thus recovered accumulates and is then stored in a storage tank. As the process is carried out, the drum rotates so that another area of the charged desiccant material can be heated, and at the same time allow the unloaded desiccant area to be reloaded.
