Abstract

Un artículo absorbente (1, 26), tal como un pañal, compresasanitaria, protector contra incontinencia o artículo análogo, que incluye bordes que se extienden longitudinalmente (6,7) y bordes que se extienden transversalmente (8, 9), una hoja inferior impermeable a los líquidos (21), una hoja absorbente (23), una hoja superior permeable a los líquidos (22) que está destinada a estar junto al usuario durante el uso, y en cada lado de la línea central longitudinal de la hoja superior (22) al menos una barrera longitudinal a los líquidos (2, 3, 4, 5) compuesta de un material alargado, esencialmente inelástico y esencialmente impermeable a los líquidos (10, 17) que tiene dos bordes longitudinales (11, 12, 18, 19) de los que el primer borde (11, 18) está fijado a la hoja superior permeable a los líquidos (22) del artículo absorbente o a su hoja inferior impermeable a los líquidos (21) a lo largo o junto al borde longitudinal (6, 7) del artículo, y cuyo segundo borde (12, 19) está fijado a un elemento elástico alargado, preestirado (13, 14) de tal manera que forme un borde de barrera fruncido, estirable (32, 39) que está destinado a estar contra el usuario cuando el artículo se lleve puesto, caracterizado porque el elemento elástico se compone de un dispositivo elástico en forma de cinta (14) que tiene un primer borde longitudinal (15) y un segundo borde longitudinal (16), de los que al menos el primer borde (15) está fijado en estado estirado al segundo borde (19) del material esencialmente inelástico de tal manera que los bordes unidos entre sí constituirán un primer borde de barrera fruncido, estirable (39), e incluyendo una parte longitudinal libre (16) que constituye un segundo borde de barrera estirable, esencialmente liso, donde el dispositivo elástico (14) está fijado al material esencialmente inelástico (17) de tal manera que cuando el artículo se lleve puesto, el dispositivo elástico (14) estará contra el usuario, mirando la parte libre (16) hacia la línea central del artículo, mirando el primer borde de barrera fruncido estirable (39) hacia afuera desde dicha línea central.
