Abstract

A medida que la industria automotriz avanza hacia vehículos totalmente autónomos, una de las principales tecnologías que ha emergido ha sido la de la visión basada en cámara. Generalmente, la ubicación ideal para las cámaras principales está cerca del centro superior del parabrisas. Esta ubicación proporciona un amplio campo de visión hacia adelante y los sistemas existentes de limpiaparabrisas y desempañadores que se utilizan principalmente para mantener despejado el campo de visión. Sin embargo, la calidad óptica de un parabrisas típico de cal sodada se degrada con el tiempo a medida que la superficie del vidrio reacciona con los elementos y es erosionada por los limpiaparabrisas, el polvo y la suciedad. Por ejemplo, una pequeña astilla, que normalmente no sería un problema en ningún otro lugar en el parabrisas, requeriría el reemplazo o la reparación del parabrisas si dicha astilla cae en el área de la cámara. El laminado de la presente invención reemplaza la capa exterior del vidrio con una con mayor resistencia a la abrasión y la intemperie que el vidrio de cal sodada estándar, lo que da como resultado una durabilidad tanto mecánica como óptica mejorada.
