Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un conector de cable incluye un elemento de acoplamiento de conductor exterior configurado para recibir un extremo de un cable coaxial. El elemento de acoplamiento de conductor exterior tiene una pluralidad de dedos elásticos configurados para estar en comunicación eléctrica con una superficie periférica exterior de un conductor exterior del cable coaxial recibido, y cada dedo elástico tiene una primera púa que mira hacia afuera y una superficie ahusada que mira hacia afuera. El conector de cable incluye un cuerpo que tiene una porción de anillo anular coaxialmente alineada con el elemento de acoplamiento de conductor exterior a lo largo de un eje. El anillo anular se configura para circunscribir el cable coaxial y define un reborde que mira hacia adentro, una superficie interior ahusada, y un anillo de compresión. El anillo de compresión se dispone en un lado axial opuesto de la superficie interior ahusada con relación al reborde que mira hacia adentro, y el reborde que mira hacia adentro del cuerpo se acopla a la primera púa que mira hacia afuera de cada dedo elástico cuando el cuerpo se dispone en una primera posición axial en un estado preinstalado. El conector de cable incluye también un acoplador montado de forma giratoria con relación al anillo anular del cuerpo. El acoplador es operativo para mover el cuerpo axialmente con relación al elemento de acoplamiento de conductor exterior de tal manera que la superficie interior ahusada del cuerpo se acopla a la superficie exterior ahusada del elemento de acoplamiento de conductor exterior, y el anillo de compresión del cuerpo empuja la superficie exterior ahusada de cada dedo elástico contra la superficie exterior periférica del conductor exterior cuando el cuerpo se mueve axialmente con relación al elemento de acoplamiento de conductor exterior por medio del acoplador a una segunda posición axial en un estado instalado.
