中国是世界上最早发明蚊帐的国家，蚊帐是避免蚊子叮咬的帐幕，常用于夏秋季节蚊子肆虐，通常是挂在床架上将床围住以隔绝蚊子，使用蚊帐可以避蚊防风还可以吸附空气中飘落的尘埃、过滤空气、尤其适合儿童使用，健康、环保，最常见的是采用薄棉纱布制作外罩，蚊帐有很多种形状，四方形的、弓形的、圆形的，有不锈钢骨架，竹片骨架，不方便携带、安装麻烦、易移动、没有放置香料位置，不易存放等缺点。
