目前的滚轮主要包括轴承、铁芯或铝芯、聚氨酯层或橡胶层，铁芯或铝芯套装在轴承外，轴承外圈与铁芯或铝芯过渡配合，铁芯或铝芯外包裹有聚氨酯层或橡胶层。在机器运转过程中，轴承与铁芯会受热膨胀，产生相对滑动摩擦，铁芯或铝芯在与轴承接触面磨损严重，导致铁芯或铝芯与轴承间的间隙过大，滚轮运转不平稳，而无法正常使用。
