Description
Technical Field
One aspect of the present invention relates to a lift-type platform glass assembly, and another aspect of the present invention relates to an image input device such as a scanner, a copier, a multi-function peripheral, etc. using the lift-type platform glass assembly.
Background
In the related art, a general image input device, such as a flatbed scanner or copier, includes a device body and a cover assembly having a substantially plate-like configuration and pivotally connected to the device body at one side. When the user uses the image input device, the top cover assembly needs to be lifted first, a document to be scanned is placed on the scanning window of the device body, then the top cover assembly is turned down to press the document to be scanned, and then a scanning procedure is carried out.
The device body comprises a platform glass assembly and other auxiliary components such as a bracket, the platform glass assembly comprises a base component and a platform glass, the base component comprises a concave part provided with a scanning assembly, and an opening of the concave part is used as a scanning window and covered by the platform glass. When the scanning device is used, a to-be-scanned file is placed on the platform glass in a state that the to-be-scanned surface faces the scanning assembly, and scanning light emitted by the scanning assembly irradiates the to-be-scanned surface of the to-be-scanned file through the platform glass, so that the to-be-scanned surface is scanned.
In the prior art, the platform glass in the platform glass assembly is fixedly connected to the base member by means of screw connection, rivet connection, etc. although such connection can ensure the connection tightness between the platform glass and the base member, when the platform glass is atomized or scratched and needs to be maintained or replaced, or when stains or sundries exist in the concave portion of the base member and needs to be cleaned, or when the scanning assembly needs to be maintained, the platform glass needs to be detached by loosening the screw or rivet between the platform glass and the base member, which causes inconvenience in operation, wastes much time, and may damage the member.
Therefore, in the known image input device, although the conventional connection method ensures the tight connection between the platform glass and the base member, the conventional connection method also has the disadvantages of inconvenience, time-consuming cleaning and maintenance of the platform glass and the base member, and easy damage.

Detailed Description
The present invention describes a liftable platform glass assembly for use in an image input device, such as a scanner, a copier or a multi-function peripheral. For convenience of description, the following embodiments are described with reference to the application of the scanner.
Fig. 1 shows a schematic structural diagram of a scanner according to an embodiment of the present invention, which includes a device body 1 and a top cover assembly 2, wherein the device body 1 includes a platform glass assembly 11 and a bracket 12, and the platform glass assembly 11 includes a base member 111 and a platform glass 112. A recess 113 is formed in the base member 111, and the scanning assembly 114 is disposed in the recess 113 and movable along a guide rail 115. The platform glass 112 is provided on the base member 111 and is pivotable with respect to the base member 111 about a pivot shaft 117 formed at an edge portion on one side. When the platen glass 112 is engaged with the base member 111 on the other side, the concave portion 113 is covered, and the scanning light emitted from the scanning unit 114 can be irradiated to the document to be scanned placed on the platen glass 112 through the platen glass 112.
In the present invention, as shown in fig. 1, at least one pair of fixing members 116 are provided on the platen glass 112 and the base member 111, respectively, so as to face each other. When the platform glass 112 is engaged with the base member 111 on the other side, at least one pair of the fixing members 116 can generate an engaging force under the self-weight of the platform glass 112 or the self-attracting force of each pair of the fixing members 116, so that the platform glass 112 and the base member 111 are automatically fixedly engaged with each other, and when it is required to separate the platform glass 112 from the base member 111 on the other side, the platform glass 112 can be pivoted relative to the base member 111 by only externally applying an external force along a direction overcoming the aforementioned engaging force and greater than the engaging force, so that the platform glass 112 can be easily lifted relative to the base member 111.
In one embodiment, as shown in fig. 3 and 4, two pairs of fixing members 116 are oppositely provided, one of the two pairs being provided at an edge portion of the other side of the platen glass 112 opposite to the side where the pivot shaft 117 is provided, and the other of the two pairs being provided at a position on the base member 111 corresponding to the former one. Among them, preferably, one of the fixing parts 116 provided on the stage glass 112 may be arranged to be symmetrical to each other with respect to the center point of the other side. This enables a more uniform distribution of the joining force between the platform glass 112 and the base member 111. When it is necessary to separate the other side of the platform glass 112 from the base member 111, it is only necessary to pivot the platform glass 112 with respect to the base member 111 by externally applying an external force in a direction against the engaging force of the two pairs of fixing members 116 and larger than the engaging force, thereby easily lifting the platform glass 112 with respect to the base member 111.
One of each pair of fixing members provided oppositely on the stage glass 112 and the fixing member 116 in the former embodiment may be a magnet, and the other may be a magnetic member capable of being attracted by the magnetic force of the magnet. Thus, when the platform glass 112 is engaged with the base member 111 on the other side, the platform glass 112 and the base member 111 can be automatically fixedly engaged with each other by the attraction force (magnetic force) of each pair of the fixing members 116 themselves, and when the platform glass 112 is opened with respect to the base member 111, only the external force along the direction overcoming the aforementioned attraction force and greater than the attraction force needs to be applied externally.
As a modification, each pair of fixing members oppositely disposed on the platen glass 112 and the fixing member 116 in the previous embodiment may also be an adhesive tape. In this way, when the platform glass 112 is engaged with the base member 111 on the other side, an engaging force can be generated in each pair of the fixing members 116 under the self-weight of the platform glass 112, so that the platform glass 112 and the base member 111 are automatically fixedly engaged with each other, and when it is necessary to lift the platform glass 112 relative to the base member 111, it is only necessary to apply an external force along a direction overcoming the aforementioned engaging force and larger than the engaging force by the outside.
Thus, the connection between the platform glass 112 and the base member 111 can be realized by simply providing the fixing member 116, and when a user needs to clean and maintain the platform glass 112 and the inside of the base member 111, the platform glass 112 can be easily lifted relative to the base member 111, thereby eliminating the operation of a screw member in the prior art, greatly saving the maintenance time, and reducing the possibility of damage to the member.
In the above embodiment, the fixing member 116 includes two pairs provided on the platform glass 112 and the base member 111, respectively. However, this is not a limitation of the present invention, and the specific number of pairs of the fixing members 116 and the arrangement position of each pair may be determined according to specific use and aesthetic requirements. For example, the specific number of pairs of the fixing members 116 is not limited to two pairs, but may be one pair or three pairs or more. In addition, at least one pair of fixing members 116 of the present invention may be disposed at other positions on the platform glass 112 and the base member 111, as long as both sides of each pair are disposed on the platform glass and the base member, respectively, and correspond to each other. In addition, the specific size or shape of each pair of fixing members 116 in the present invention is not limited to a specific size or shape. So long as the fixing member 116 thus provided can achieve the above-described functions.
Meanwhile, in the above embodiment, one of the fixing members 116 is a magnet and the other is a magnetic member, or both of the fixing members 116 are adhesive tapes. However, this is not a limitation of the present invention. For example, the fixing member 116 may be a magnetic strip, a high-friction-coefficient gasket, an adhesive tape, an adhesive buckle, a hook and loop fastener, or the like, as long as the above-described function of the fixing member 116 is achieved.
Although the present invention has been described using a scanner as an example, this is not a limitation of the present invention. The design concept of the present invention can be widely applied to various image input devices such as scanners, copiers, and multi-function peripherals.
The above description is only for the preferred embodiment and the accompanying drawings, which are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention, and the present invention is not limited by the scope of the claims, which are embodied by the same technical means or the scope of the claims.
