目前用于广告装饰的发光字多种多样，因为其广告效果好，效果明显受到客户的广泛欢迎。但是这些发光字的广告牌制造成本较高，使用过程需要耗费的大量的电能，由于发光字本身需要的电压较高，防水效果差，非常容易在进水后产生短路等故障，影响发光效果。目前这些发光广告牌存在的主要问题是：1、使用寿命短；2、电能消耗多；3、防水效果差。

本实用新型的目的是提供一种金属发光字，它具有使用寿命长、节电效果好、防水效果好的优点。为了解决背景技术所存在的问题，本实用新型是采用以下技术方案：它由金属发光字1、顶面板2、侧面板3、光源4、金属发光字安装支架5、侧面板支架6组成，金属发光字1由多个防水LED组成并形成发光字板，金属发光字安装支架5设置在由金属发光字1形成的发光字板后面，并用于支撑发光字板的稳定；顶面板2设置在金属发光字1和侧面板3之间的顶端，侧面板3后方设置有侧面板支架6，顶面板2和侧面板3上设置有多个规则形状的小孔，小孔用于透光使用；光源4设置在金属发光字1和侧面板3之间。由于金属发光字1和侧面板3之间形成一个空隙，使得光线从字体边缘通过侧面板2反射出来，在字体周围形成光圈，使得字体的发光效果更好，达到较好的广告装饰效果。本实用新型具有使用寿命长、节电效果好、防水效果好的优点。

参看图1，本具体实施方式采用以下技术方案：它由金属发光字1、顶面板2、侧面板3、光源4、金属发光字安装支架5、侧面板支架6组成，金属发光字1由多个防水LED组成并形成发光字板，金属发光字安装支架5设置在由金属发光字1形成的发光字板后面，并用于支撑发光字板的稳定；顶面板2设置在金属发光字1和侧面板3之间的顶端，侧面板3后方设置有侧面板支架6，顶面板2和侧面板3上设置有多个规则形状的小孔，小孔用于透光使用；光源4设置在金属发光字1和侧面板3之间。由于金属发光字1和侧面板3之间形成一个空隙，使得光线从字体边缘通过侧面板2反射出来，在字体周围形成光圈，使得字体的发光效果更好，达到较好的广告装饰效果。
