本创作有关于一种电连接器,尤指一种可以防止接点反折剥离的电连接器。
背景技术
由于液晶显示器和系统主机之间的信号通讯量,非常的庞大且频率非常高,所以,目前架设在液晶显示器接口与系统主板接口之间的高频信号传输系统,是采用具有超高速(1.4Gb/s)、低功耗及低电磁辐射特性的低压差分信号(LVDS,Low Voltage DifferentialSignal)接收器作为液晶显示器接口的信号传输接口,并经由信号传输线(TransmissionLine)的连接,与系统主板接口上的信号传输接口,即,与系统主板接口上的连接器插座,一起构成信号连接,和共同组成一种习用的LVDS信号传输系统。
一般使用在这种习用的LVDS信号传输系统中的公端连接器,其结构包括有上铁壳、绝缘本体、导电端子、柔性扁平电缆以及下铁壳,下铁壳上先安装设置绝缘本体,绝缘本体上插设导电端子,导电端子上再搭接柔性扁平电缆,上铁壳设置在绝缘本体上。此种现有的连接器的结构较为复杂,故制程步骤较多且成本较高,另外,此种连接器所占的体积较大,对现今产品设计讲求轻薄短小的趋势潮流而言,并不符合需求。
因此就有业者开发出直接以柔性扁平电缆取代导电端子的公端连接器,所以原先公端连接器的导电端子就变成了柔性扁平电缆的金手指接点。然而,由于柔性扁平电缆的金手指接点是靠着黏胶与下绝缘层黏接固定在一起,且金手指接点的前端面大致呈现为一垂直面,因此当与对接连接器插接时的施力太大或太快的话,常会造成金手指接点受到对接端子的抵接力冲击影响而产生剥离(peeling)反折在下绝缘层的情形,导致设置在公端连接器的柔性扁平电缆的结构损坏而产生客诉的问题。
实用新型内容
现有电连接器的柔性扁平电缆前端的接点容易受到对接连接器内的对接端子抵接力冲击的影响而产生反折剥离在下绝缘层的情形,导致柔性扁平电缆的结构损坏,如此容易产生客诉的问题。
本创作提供一种电连接器,包括一第一金属壳体及一柔性扁平传输组件,其中第一金属壳体具有一安装部,柔性扁平传输组件设置在第一金属壳体的安装部上,柔性扁平传输组件上具有多个接点,每个接点的前端设有一第一斜面,且该第一斜面背向安装部。
本创作所提供的电连接器,其利用在接点前端设有一斜面,此斜面的外形可以减少对接端子抵接力的冲击,可有效避免柔性扁平传输组件前端的接点容易剥离反折的情形,如此即可解决现有公端连接器的柔性扁平电缆的结构损坏而产生客诉的问题。

请参阅图1至图6,本创作提供一种电连接器1,此电连接器1包括有一第一金属壳体2、一柔性扁平传输组件3以及一第二金属壳体4,其中柔性扁平传输组件3系被夹设在第一金属壳体2与第二金属壳体4之间。
第一金属壳体2具有一安装部21及设在安装部21两侧的二导引部22,每个导引部22包括一底侧段221、与底侧段221相对设置的一顶侧段222及连接底侧段221与顶侧段222的一弯折段223,且顶侧段222设有一延伸段224,底侧段221设有一孔槽225,延伸段224朝向底侧段221延伸且嵌合在孔槽225。可以理解的是,在本实施例中,此底侧段221、顶侧段222、弯折段223及延伸段224是一体成形在第一金属壳体2上,并且形成一结构稳固的导引结构,其中顶侧段222、延伸段224与底侧段221之间还形成一容置空间20。
在本实施例中,在安装部21的两侧上各设有一突起部226,且安装部21对应在突起部226的一侧缘上设有一阻挡部227,并在导引部22的底侧段221向上向后延伸设有一解锁部23,该解锁部23包括一施力臂231及设在施力臂231末端的一按压部232。在施力臂231的前端与安装部21上各设有不同形态的第一卡合部24,此第一卡合部24用以卡合固定在第二金属壳体4,可以理解的是,为了增加机构强度以及对接时的厚度,在安装部21上还设有一反折部25,此反折部25直接将自安装部21向前延伸突出的第一金属壳体2的部分向上向后反折迭置在安装部21上所形成的反折结构。此外,在第一金属壳体2上还设有多个接地弹片26。
柔性扁平传输组件3设置在第一金属壳体2的安装部21及反折部24上,柔性扁平传输组件3上具有多个接点31,其中该些接点31位在反折部24上如此以增加对接时的结构厚度及强度。在本实施例中,此柔性扁平传输组件3为柔性扁平电缆(FFC),然不限于此,另一种选择是,此柔性扁平传输组件3亦可为柔性印刷电路板(FPC),其中在柔性扁平传输组件3上设有一开孔30,第一金属壳体2的突起部226嵌合在开孔30以达到止退柔性扁平传输组件3的目的。此外,柔性扁平传输组件3的前端邻近于阻挡部227且被阻挡部227所阻挡以避免其前端继续向前推进,如此可达到定位的目的。在此同时,柔性扁平传输组件3的两侧也限位在安装部21两侧的二导引部22的延伸段224之间,使得柔性扁平传输组件3不会产生左右偏移。
值得一提的是,在本实施例中,每个接点31的前端设有一第一斜面311,如图4所示,柔性扁平电缆(FFC)包括一下绝缘层32、多条平行排列的金属导线33及一上绝缘层34,下绝缘层32具有一顶面321、相对于顶面321的一底面322及连接在顶面321与底面322的一前端面323,该些金属导线33设置在下绝缘层32的顶面321上,上绝缘层34覆盖在该些金属导线33上,且该些金属导线33的前端外露于上绝缘层34以形成该些接点31。接点31前端的第一斜面311的倾斜方向朝向于上绝缘层34且背向安装部21,如此设计可以减少接点31在与对接连接器(未绘示)的端子接触时所可能产生的剥离在下绝缘层32的情形,因此可解决现有柔性扁平电缆的金手指接点容易产生反折剥离的结构损坏所导致的客诉的问题。
可以理解的是,为了减少端子对接时的抵接力冲击影响,在下绝缘层32的前端面323上设有一第二斜面324,此第二斜面324与第一斜面311共同形成一斜率相同的斜切面,该斜切面也是背向安装部21,此第二斜面324的设计可以达到减少端子对接时的冲击力的目的。此外,将一补强板35的一侧设置在下绝缘层32的底面322上,此时接点31与补强板35分别设在下绝缘层32的顶底两侧,补强板35具有一板端面351,该板端面351设有一第三斜面352,第三斜面352与第二斜面324及第一斜面311共同形成背向安装部21的该斜切面,同样地,此第三斜面352也是具有减少端子对接时的冲击力的功用。可以理解的是,斜切面的形成可用斜切柔性扁平电缆的方式来达成,且第一斜面311的面积大小小于第二斜面324的面积大小,第三斜面352的面积大小也小于第二斜面324的面积大小,如此设计使得第二斜面324的面积最大以达到较佳的减少端子对接冲击力的效果。
第二金属壳体4组装在第一金属壳体2上,其中第二金属壳体4覆盖在柔性扁平传输组件3上且柔性扁平传输组件3的该些接点31外露在第二金属壳体4以利于与对接连接器(未绘示)互相电性连接。在本实施例中,此第二金属壳体4设有一嵌合部41,顶侧段222设有一插口228,嵌合部41可插设在插口228中达到定位的目的,接着利用第二金属壳体4上所设有的多个第二卡合部42与第一金属壳体2上的多个第一卡合部24互相干涉卡合,如此来达到将第二金属壳体4组装固定在第一金属壳体2上的目的。
在本实施例中,第二金属壳体4两侧各设有一锁合部43,每个锁合部43包括一弹性臂431及设在弹性臂431末端的一卡钩432,此外在第二金属壳体两侧还各设有一开口44,弹性臂431上设有一止挡部433,止挡部433延伸至开口44,如此设计使得止挡部433移动的范围只能在开口44的空间范围内,因此当使用者下压操作按压部232时,会驱使施力臂231接触并施力在弹性臂431上,进而导致卡钩432移动而脱钩于对接连接器,而此时止挡部433的设计就可以避免弹性臂431产生不良的过度变形移动。
值得一提的是,在本实施例中,接点31位在反折部24上而没有如现有绝缘本体的保护,因此特别需要设有第一斜面311来防止剥离。锁合部43设在第二金属壳体4上而解锁部23设在第一金属壳体2上,另一种选择是可将两者的位置互换,亦即将锁合部43设在第一金属壳体2上,而将解锁部23设在第二金属壳体4上。换言之,锁合部43可依照设计选择设置在第一金属壳体2或第二金属壳体4上,且锁合部43位在容置空间20,如此设计使得锁合部43可以受到顶侧段222、延伸段224与底侧段221的保护以避免受到外力而产生变形或破坏。第二金属壳体4设有一抵压部45,该抵压部45将柔性扁平传输组件3压制在第一金属壳体2上,如此以达到固持柔性扁平传输组件3的目的,同样地,第二金属壳体4上也设有多个接地弹片46。
综上所述,本新型的电连接器是利用在接点前端设有一斜面,此斜面的外形可以减少对接端子抵接力的冲击,可有效避免柔性扁平传输组件前端的接点容易剥离反折的情形,因此可解决现有公端连接器的柔性扁平电缆的结构容易损坏而产生客诉的问题。
上述实施例仅列示性说明本实用新型的原理及功效,而非用于限制本实用新型。任何熟悉此项技术的人员均可在不违背本实用新型的精神及范围下,对上述实施例进行修改。因此,本实用新型的权利保护范围,应如权利要求书所列。

Claims (10)

1.一种电连接器,其特征在于,该电连接器包括:
一第一金属壳体,该第一金属壳体具有一安装部;以及
一柔性扁平传输组件,设置在该第一金属壳体的该安装部上,该柔性扁平传输组件上具有多个接点,每个该接点的前端设有一第一斜面,该第一斜面背向该安装部。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于,还包括:
一第二金属壳体,组装在该第一金属壳体上,该第二金属壳体覆盖在该柔性扁平传输组件上且该柔性扁平传输组件的该些接点外露于该第二金属壳体。
3.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于,该柔性扁平传输组件为一柔性扁平电缆,该柔性扁平电缆包括一下绝缘层、多条平行排列的金属导线及一上绝缘层,该下绝缘层具有一顶面、相对于该顶面的一底面及连接在该顶面与该底面的一前端面,该些金属导线设置在该下绝缘层的该顶面上,该上绝缘层覆盖在该些金属导线上,且该些金属导线的前端外露于该上绝缘层以形成该些接点。
4.如权利要求3所述的电连接器,其特征在于,该前端面设有一第二斜面,该第二斜面与该第一斜面共同形成一斜切面,该斜切面背向该安装部。
5.如权利要求4所述的电连接器,其特征在于,还包括:
一补强板,该补强板的一侧设置在该下绝缘层的该底面上,该些接点与该补强板分别设在该下绝缘层的顶底两侧,该补强板具有一板端面,该板端面设有一第三斜面,该第三斜面与该二斜面及该第一斜面共同形成该斜切面,该斜切面背向该安装部。
6.如权利要求4所述的电连接器,其特征在于,该第一斜面的面积大小小于该第二斜面的面积大小。
7.如权利要求5项所述的电连接器,其特征在于,该第三斜面的面积大小小于该第二斜面的面积大小。
8.如权利要求2所述的电连接器,其特征在于,还包括:
一锁合部,设置在该第一金属壳体或该第二金属壳体上,其中该第二金属壳体设有一抵压部,该抵压部将该柔性扁平传输组件压制在该第一金属壳体上,使该柔性扁平传输组件被夹设在该第一金属壳体与该第二金属壳体之间。
9.如权利要求2所述的电连接器,其特征在于,还包括:
一解锁部,设置在该第一金属壳体上;以及
一锁合部,设置在该第二金属壳体上,该第一金属壳体上设有一第一卡合部,该第二金属壳体上设有一第二卡合部,该第一卡合部与该第二卡合部互相干涉卡合。
10.如权利要求1至权利要求9中任一项所述的电连接器,其特征在于,在该安装部上设有一反折部,且该柔性扁平传输组件的该些接点位在该反折部上。
