Description

Method for realizing dual-mode terminal communication in wireless communication system
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of wireless communication, in particular to a method for realizing dual-mode terminal communication in a wireless communication system.
Background
According to the 3GPP2 standard, the networking structure between the cdma2000 system and the HRPD (high rate packet data) system is relatively independent, and there are no other interworking interfaces between the two network systems except that the two network systems can be connected to the same PDSN (data serving node). The networking structure of the cdma20001x system and the HRPD rev.0 system is shown in fig. 1.
The HRPD protocol defines voice priority, and thus, the terminal must be able to listen to voice pages from the cdma20001x system while data traffic is being carried on in the HRPD network. This requires that the cdma20001 x/HRPD dual-mode terminal must periodically switch to the cdma20001x network to monitor the paging channel of the cdma20001x network according to the paging message timing of the cdma20001x network while performing data service in the HRPD network, determine whether there is a paging message of its own, if there is a paging message, the user will respond to the cdma20001x paging, and establish a service channel in the cdma20001x system. If no paging message exists, the HRPD network is returned to continue the ongoing data service.
If the cdma20001x voice paging message is monitored, the system will unconditionally switch the packet data service in the HRPD network to the HRPD Dormant state of HRPD, and then switch to the cdma20001x system to establish the forward and reverse traffic channels. Only after the service channel is completely established, the network side sends the calling number through the service channel, and the terminal prompts the user to make a choice whether to answer the cdma20001x voice call.
If the user chooses not to answer, the terminal will switch back to HRPDDonant at HRPD from cdma20001x, and then reactivate the data service. Because the switching time between cdma20001x and HRPD network is relatively long, data services with relatively high real-time requirements, such as VolP (voice over IP), Video Phone (videophone), PTT (push-to-talk), streaming media, etc., are likely to be interrupted in the switching process, which seriously affects the use of services by users.
That is to say, for a cdma2000 and HRPD dual-mode terminal, when it resides in one of the networks, in order to monitor a paging message and a system message from the other network, it needs to periodically switch to a frequency point where the other network is located according to the length of the paging cycle of the other network, and monitor the paging message or the system message. Therefore, in order to ensure reliable reception of information of the two networks, the dual-mode terminal needs to switch and search frequently between the two networks, which is very large in power consumption for the terminal.
Meanwhile, if a user listens to BCMCS service in an HRPD system, discontinuous service may be caused due to frequent handover operations, which affects viewing effectiveness.
In order to solve the above problem, two implementation schemes for dual-mode terminal communication are currently provided, and the two implementation schemes will be separately described below.
The first implementation scheme adopted at present is as follows: the dual-mode terminal of the 1x/HRPD adopts two receivers and one transmitter, can simultaneously listen to information in two networks of the cdma20001x and the HRPD, but can only respond to one network at the same time.
It can be seen that in this scheme, while the user terminal is conducting services in one network, the user terminal can reliably receive system messages and paging messages in the other network, so that the user terminal does not need to frequently switch between the two networks to ensure reliable reception of information.
However, in this solution, when the dual-mode terminal is in the process of performing data service on the HRPD network, if a voice paging from the cdma20001x system is received, the system will unconditionally switch the packet data service of the HRPD network to the HRPD Dormant, and then switch to the cdma20001x system to establish the forward and reverse service channels. Only after the service channel is completely established, the network side sends the calling number out through the service channel. At this point, the terminal can prompt the user to make a choice whether to answer the cdma20001x voice call based on the calling number information. That is, no matter whether the user answers the voice call of the cdma20001x system, the data service of the HRPD network will be interrupted, which greatly increases the possibility that the dual-mode terminal will affect some services with higher real-time performance going through the HRPD network during the communication process.
In addition, the implementation scheme also increases the cost of the user terminal, which inevitably brings negative influence to the popularization and operation work of the operator.
The second implementation scheme adopted at present is as follows: the air interface portion of the current state-of-the-art HRPD standard network adds forwarding of cdma20001x messages through the HRPD network, where paging messages, short messages, system messages, etc. may be forwarded. The ground interface part introduces a mechanism of HRPD-1X forwarding paging to each other, and the corresponding network structure is shown in FIG. 2. That is, AN IWS (interworking unit) device is added between the MSC (mobile switching controller) and the HRPD AN (HRPD access network) to forward the respective page.
This scheme is suitable for single receiver CDMA20001X and HRPD dual mode terminals. The method is used for solving the problem that the terminal does not need to frequently switch to the cdma20001X to listen to paging when monitoring the BCMCS service of the HRPD network, and is expanded to receive the paging from the HRPD network when the cdma20001X network receives the service later.
The basic principle of the scheme is that AN of HRPD is managed as a BSC (base station controller) of cdma20001X, AN MSC maintains location areas of two networks simultaneously, and a terminal needs to register in the MSC area through a location Update message when residing in the HRPD network.
Although the scheme does not need to change the MSC and the BSC of the cdma20001X, only the AN of the HRPD is modified. But the corresponding forwarding function only solves the problem that for a single receiver and single transmitter cdma20001 x/HRPD dual-mode terminal, the paging message of the cdma20001x network must be frequently searched between the two networks.
For the terminal, whether in the HRPD network or the cdma20001X network, if the terminal receives a page from another network, the terminal will immediately switch to the other network to initiate a page response, which will inevitably cause interruption of the current service, or simply set that the service is in progress and the page of the other network is not received, which will also cause degradation of the user experience.
The third implementation scheme adopted at present is: after receiving the 1X call information, MSC sends two messages to MS through AN: a Paging Request message is transmitted first, and then a Feature Notification message is immediately transmitted, in which a calling number is included in the Feature Notification message. Meanwhile, MSC sends a Paging Request message to the 1X access network. After receiving the Paging Request message, the MS starts a timer and waits for a subsequent Feature Notification message, and after receiving the Feature Notification message, the MS confirms to the HRPD network that the message is received, and then the MS judges whether to answer according to a calling number included in the message. If the MS chooses to listen then a page response is returned to the 1X network. If the timer in the MS is overtime, the UE does not wait for the Feature Notification message any more and directly returns a paging response to the 1X network.
This scheme is suitable for single receiver CDMA20001X and HRPD dual mode terminals. The method is used for solving the problem that the terminal does not need to frequently switch to cdma20001X to listen to paging when monitoring the HRPD network.
The disadvantage of this scheme is that the terminal needs to process two messages, the connection time is too long, and the processing is complex. Reliability is also low.
In summary, the corresponding technical solutions provided in the prior art only solve the problem of frequent searching between networks, but all have respective disadvantages. There is no implementation scheme for flexibly selecting the data service and the voice service according to the importance of the data service and the voice service without completely solving the problem that the current service of the user terminal is not interrupted.

Detailed Description
The invention mainly solves the problem that the terminal can know the calling number information of the initiated call in advance after receiving the call notification message of cdma20001x forwarded by the HRPD network, and the user terminal determines whether to answer a new call according to the calling number information on the premise of not interrupting the data service on the current HRPD network.
The core of the invention is that in the cdma20001x system and HRPD system networking, when other users call the dual-mode terminal, the calling number information is directly notified to the corresponding dual-mode terminal through the HRPD network, and the dual-mode terminal user decides whether to answer the call according to the acquired calling number information, thereby improving the reliability of the dual-mode terminal communication.
The CDMA20001X system of the present invention includes: CDMA and CDMA 20001X/CDMA 20001X EVDV (enhanced data-Voice mixing) systems.
For a further understanding of the present invention, specific embodiments of the method of the present invention will be further described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
In order to receive a call Notification message from 1x in the HRPD active state, the cdma20001 x/HRPD dual-mode terminal may specifically forward a call Notification message carrying a calling number from the cdma20001x through the HRPD network, or forward a Paging Request message and a Feature Notification message carrying a calling number.
Therefore, the dual-mode terminal does not need to be frequently switched to the cdma20001x network, can receive the call notification message from the cdma20001X system while the HRPD network performs service, and can obtain the calling number.
In order to implement the forwarding process of the call notification message in the HRPD network, AN IWS entity needs to be added between the MSC and the HRPD AN, and at the MSC side, the HRPD AN is regarded as AN inter-frequency cdma20001x BSS (BSS, base station system) for common management, and the call notification message of cdma20001x can be delivered to the dual-mode terminal through the HRPD network via AN a1 interface.
The above technical description has been achieved in the prior art, and the object of the present invention is to improve the above technical state, so that the dual mode terminal is more reliable and simple in receiving the call notification from cdma20001 x.
In order to enable the dual-mode terminal to determine in advance whether to answer the call in the HRPD network, the user terminal needs to know in advance the identity information of the user initiating the call, i.e., the calling number. Thus, if the dual-mode terminal determines to answer the incoming voice according to the calling number information, processing is performed according to the processing flow in the prior art, namely, the dual-mode terminal is switched to the cdma20001x network to answer the voice; if the dual-mode terminal chooses not to answer the voice, the voice call can be rejected directly through the HRPD network without interrupting the current HRPD network service.
The invention provides a method for transmitting calling number in advance by using the existing message, so that the terminal can directly acquire the information of the calling number after receiving the call notification message of cdma20001x in an HRPD network without switching to a cdma20001x system. After the user knows the calling number, the user can select whether to answer the voice call according to the number. The following will describe a specific implementation of the method of the present invention with reference to fig. 3, as shown in fig. 3, specifically including the following steps:
step 31: when MSC receives a voice call and calls a dual-mode terminal in HRPD network, MSC sends a Paging Request message to HRPD PCF/AN according to location area. When HRPD PCF/AN receives the Paging Request message sent by MSC, it starts the timer.
Step 32: the MSC specifically sends a Paging Request message to all BSs (i.e., BSs) of cdma20001X in the location area according to the location area, and the message does not need to contain a calling number;
in order to implement steps 31 and 32, first, the location area information of the dual-mode terminal in the CDMA network and the HRPD network and the network information of the dual-mode terminal to which the location area information belongs need to be stored in the MSC, so that the MSC can distinguish the corresponding AN or BSS and send the corresponding call notification message;
the access control functional entity can be determined to be the identification of HRPD AN/PCF when the transmission link is established on the MSC by means of signaling points, registration flow, location division and the like, thereby effectively distinguishing BSS or AN on the MSC.
Step 33: the MSC sends a FeatureNotification message containing the calling number to the HRPD PCF/AN.
Step 34: if the HRPD PCF/AN receives the Feature Notification message with the calling number information before the timeout of the timer, then:
when the call notification message contains more than 2 specific messages, the IWS or the AN preferentially uses a 3G1XServices packet (service packet in 3G 1X) message bearer to increase reliability and reduce the complexity of the process.
If the Feature Notification message with the calling number information is not received before the timer is overtime, only a 3G1XService packet (service packet in 3G 1X) message containing a Paging Request message is sent to an MS/AT (user terminal, namely a dual-mode terminal) so that the dual-mode terminal can obtain the calling number information;
the method specifically comprises the following steps: after receiving the message with calling number information sent by MSC, HRPD PCF/AN inquires the stored IMSI (international mobile subscriber identity) information record, and processes according to the inquiry result: (1) if the IMSI record of the user is not inquired, the process is ended, and meanwhile, if the MSC cannot receive the call notification message response and the related terminal rejection information from the two networks after the timer is overtime, the MSC sends the message that the user is not in the service area to the calling user; (2) if the IMSI record of the user is inquired, firstly, whether the user is in a connected state is judged: (21) if in the connected state, sending a call notification message containing the calling number to the MS/AT through a forward traffic channel, (22) if the user is in an idle state (HRPD idle state), sending a 3G1XServices packet message containing the calling number call notification message to the MS/AT through a forward synchronous control channel;
the steps 31 to 33 of the present invention can be realized in the following two ways:
the first mode is as follows:
the method comprises the steps that current state information of a dual-mode terminal is stored on an MSC, and the state comprises a packet service activation state and an idle state; in order to ensure that the state of the dual-mode terminal is the current state of the dual-mode terminal, the current state needs to be notified to the MSC when the state of the dual-mode terminal changes, specifically, the dual-mode terminal needs to be notified when the state of the dual-mode terminal changes from an idle state to an active state, and also needs to be notified when the state of the dual-mode terminal changes from the active state to the idle state;
when needing to send data service, MSC determines whether the sent data service carries calling number according to the stored state information of whether the called user (namely the dual-mode terminal) is in the activated state; if the data service is in the activated state, the MSC sends the data service to the interworking unit IWS, and the calling number is required to be carried, otherwise, the calling number is not required to be carried.
The second way is:
state information of the dual-mode terminal is stored on the IWS, and similarly, the state comprises the following steps: an active state and an idle state, and when the state of the dual-mode terminal changes, the current state needs to be notified to the IWS;
when needing to send the corresponding data service, the IWS decides whether to carry the calling number in the data service sent to the access control entity AN/PCF according to the user state, if the dual-mode terminal is in the activated state, the calling number is carried in the data service, otherwise, the calling number is not carried.
In the second mode, after receiving the data service from the MSC, the IWS may also query the state of the user from the AN/PCF (at this time, the state information of the user does not need to be stored in the IWS any more), if the user is in the active state, the user carries the calling number in the data service sent to the access control entity AN/PCF, and if the user is in the idle state, the user does not need to carry the calling number.
Of course, in the present invention, the subsequent processing procedure may be directly executed without considering whether it is in the activated state, and the subsequent processing procedure will be described in detail below;
step 35: after receiving the 3G1XServices packet message of the HRPD BS, the MS/AT analyzes the 3G1X Services packet message, and if the message comprises a Feature Notification message, the MS/AT sends a response message to the HRPD network.
Step 36: the HRPD PCF/AN forwards the received reply message to the MSC. When MSC receives the response message, it stops sending paging message to 1X access network and HRPD network.
Step 37: MS analyzes Feature Notification message, if the message carries calling number, then decides whether to answer call of cdma20001X system according to calling number carried in message, if yes, then sends message of releasing HRPD connection to HRPD PCF/AN, HRPDPCF/AN releases corresponding HRPD connection after receiving the message of releasing HRPD connection; if the MS/AT receives the 3G1XServices packet message of the HRPD BS and does not carry a valid calling number, the MS/AT directly sends a message for releasing the HRPD connection to the HRPD PCF/AN, and the HRPD PCF/AN releases the corresponding HRPD connection after receiving the message for releasing the HRPD connection; when the MS/AT decides to switch to the 1X system to accept the call, the MS/AT returns to the cdma20001X system and returns a paging Response message to the cdma20001X BS on the access channel, which is used to answer the Page from the HRPD PCF/AN.
Step 38: the cdma20001x BS constructs a Paging Response message and puts the message into a Complete three-Layer Information message Complete Layer 3Information message to be sent to the MSC;
if the message carries Tag IE (message field label), the CDMA20001x BS should contain the IE (message field);
the MS will complete registration to the cdma20001X system through corresponding processing procedures, and can perform subsequent cdma20001X called establishment procedures.
In the specific implementation process of the method, after MS/AT receives the 3G1XServices packet message of HRPD BS, if the MS/AT decides not to answer the corresponding call, the MS/AT needs to return a Reject Order message to HRPDPCF/AN, wherein the message carries a reason value;
the reason value can be a user busy reason value or other reason values, and can be flexibly set according to the actual needs of the user;
after the terminal returns the rejection message to the HRPD network, the access control functional entity does not send the rejection message to the MSC any more, and automatically shields the call notification message retransmitted by the MSC, and therefore, the call notification message retransmitted by the MSC needs to carry retransmission indication information.
Certainly, for this situation, it is also possible to directly end the processing flow without responding to the call, but in this way, when the timer times out, on the MSC, if the call response and the reject message are not received, the paging message is retransmitted three times, so that the terminal needs to continue to determine whether to answer the call after receiving the next paging. After receiving the rejecting message of MS/AT, HRPD PCF/AN constructs a Paging rejecting message and sends it to MSC. Filling a rejection reason in a Cause field of the message according to a reason value in the Reject Order message, and after receiving the rejection reason, the MSC sends a user busy message or other reasons to a calling party in the cdma20001x system so that the calling party can obtain corresponding reasons.
In the present invention, the Feature Notification message sent by the MSC to the HRPD PCF/AN may include only the following main contents to reduce overhead:
user identification, calling number.
After the user receives the call notification message, the user can obtain the calling number information, and can directly judge whether the voice call needs to be answered according to the calling number information, if not, the call can be directly rejected through the HRPD network.
In the method of the invention, in order to send the call notification message of cdma20001x through the HRPD network, the MSC must manage the location area information of cdma20001x system and HRPD system at the same time, and establish the corresponding relation table between the two, namely, the location area information of AN/PCF in HRPD network needs to be saved. Meanwhile, in the static configuration data of the MSC, it is also required to indicate which of the signaling points of the BSC and the AN connected to the MSC are the BSC and which are the AN, so that the paging message sent to the BSC does not need to carry a calling number, thereby ensuring that the paging message is consistent with the existing flow.
In the invention, the dual-mode terminal resides (in an idle state) in an HRPD network and needs to update the position in an MSC. So as to carry the correct cdma20001x location area information when forwarding the cdma20001x call notification message. The dual-mode terminal is activated in an HRPD network, the position of CDMA20001X is also updated in the MSC at regular time, and the MSC can update the position area information of the dual-mode terminal specifically through the position corresponding relation between the HRPD and the CDMA; the MSC can add the CDMA location area corresponding to the HRPD location area and simultaneously reserve the old CDMA location area reported by the terminal, so as to avoid the loss of the CDMA location area. The double-mode terminal is activated in the CDMA network, the HRPD position can be updated through the existing interface from the MSC to the IWS, so that the switching frequency of the double-mode terminal between the double networks is reduced, and the effect of saving electricity is achieved.
In summary, in the present invention, after receiving the call notification message, the dual-mode terminal can know the calling number in advance without interrupting the service on the HRPD network to determine whether to answer the voice, thereby effectively improving the reliability of the dual-mode terminal communication.
The above description is only for the preferred embodiment of the present invention, but the scope of the present invention is not limited thereto, and any changes or substitutions that can be easily conceived by those skilled in the art within the technical scope of the present invention are included in the scope of the present invention. Therefore, the protection scope of the present invention shall be subject to the protection scope of the claims.
