本发明涉及喷墨技术,尤其涉及一种墨滴释放设备。
背景技术
用于生产印刷介质的基于命令(on demand)的喷墨技术已经被应用到商业产品例如打印机、绘图仪和传真机中。一般地,通过多个墨滴生成器放出的墨滴在接收器表面上的选择性布置来形成喷墨图像,该墨滴生成器被实施在例如打印头中,该打印头包括一叠具有流体腔和形成在其中的通道的金属板(通常被称为喷嘴组合装置(jet stackassembly))。墨水储存在墨水储存器中,并且通过该打印头装置后侧的隔板中的端口引入该打印头装置。
在打印头装置的制造中,在将隔板结合入该喷嘴组合装置中之前在隔板上形成端口。典型地,通过蚀刻该隔板而形成端口。
一些打印头装置制造方法会需要该隔板在打印头处理期间不具有打开的端口。
发明内容
本发明提供了一种墨滴释放设备,包括:包括流体腔和流体通道的主体;配置成附着到该主体的隔板;该隔板包括在该隔板内由周边形成的预定区域,该预定区域包括部分蚀刻的部分和未蚀刻的铰接周边部分,并且该预定区域与该流体腔对准。

具体实施方式
图1和2分别是用于打印头的打印头装置的横截面侧视图和平面图。打印头装置1包括隔板10、孔板(aperture plate)20、和在该孔板20和隔板10中间的主体30。主体30可以包括喷嘴组合装置,该喷嘴组合装置包括一个或多个金属板(未示出),该金属板中具有开口,用于当金属板组合成一体时形成流体通道和流体腔。打印头装置1具有厚度TS,一般为0.2286cm(90密耳(mil))级。
通过说明性示例的方式,打印头装置1的隔板(或隔片)10一般包括端口40,以允许该打印头装置1内的储存器(未示出)和腔42的连通。端口40可以在形状上弯曲,其中示例性圆形端口具有不小于0.0254cm(10密耳)但不大于0.635cm(250密耳)的直径DP。
图3是在打印头装置1的隔板10上形成的部分蚀刻端口痕迹50的第一实施例的平面示意图。通过说明性示例的方式,本实施例包括具有部分蚀刻弧60的、弯曲的端口周边或端口边界,该弧包括用于部分蚀刻入该隔板10材料的实质部分。未蚀刻铰接区域(hinge region)62保持在该弯曲端口边界的剩余部分上。在本实施例中,该部分蚀刻弧60包括大约90%的端口边界,但是也可以有效地应用更多或更少的百分比。
图4和5是显示在穿孔之后图3的端口40的平面图和横截面侧视图。当对该端口区域50施加压力时,隔板10沿该部分蚀刻弧60断裂。从而打开端口40并且通过该隔板10的压下或穿孔部分形成叶片(leaflet)52。
一般地,在压下后,叶片52被设置为对于隔板10成一角度。很容易理解,叶片52可以被压出隔板10的平面之外,而未蚀刻铰接区域62保持住叶片52,从而防止它脱落。
用于制造隔板10的材料可以使得叶片52在压下后轻微回弹。该铰接区域62可以配置成,对于给定的隔板10材料,提供该叶片52的最大偏转而不会使该铰接区域断裂。
图6是在隔板10上形成的部分蚀刻端口痕迹的第二实施例的平面示意图。通过说明性示例的方式,本实施例中的部分蚀刻包括具有四个端口边界部分蚀刻部分60的弯曲端口边界,该端口边界部分蚀刻部分60上被部分蚀刻入该隔板10材料。相应的四个未蚀刻端口边界铰接62保持在该弯曲端口边界或端口周边上。两个基本线性的部分蚀刻部分64被进一步部分蚀刻,本实施例中的每个基本线性的部分蚀刻部分延伸穿过该端口边界并且连接两个端口边界部分蚀刻部分。
应当理解,上述部分蚀刻产生部分蚀刻区域52的四重线(quartet)。一个单独的叶片52可以是饼形、V形或楔形,每一个叶片52或端口痕迹都可以被认为是一个部分蚀刻的预定部分。
图7和8是图6的打开端口40在穿孔或压下后的平面图和横截面侧视图。在从隔板10的一侧向端口区域50施加压力后,隔板10材料沿端口边界部分蚀刻部分60和基本线性的部分蚀刻部分64断裂。从而打开端口40,并且通过该隔板10的压下或穿孔部分形成叶片52。该压下的叶片52位于隔板10的平面之外。对于一个实施例,其中隔板10被附着到其中具有流体腔42的打印头主体30,可以理解,叶片52可以被朝着腔42压入到该主体中。
第二实施例中的端口边界部分蚀刻部分60的数量不需要被限制为四个。在其他实施例中,部分蚀刻弧和交替的未蚀刻弧可以设置在隔板10上。该基本线性的部分蚀刻部分64将是部分蚀刻的,每个基本线性的部分蚀刻部分64被设置在端口区域50内并且连接到端口边界上的至少一个部分蚀刻弧60。
通过进一步说明性示例的方式,可以构成与图6的实施例相似的实施例(未示出),具有三个部分蚀刻弧以及三个放射状和基本线性的部分蚀刻部分,其中每个基本线性的部分蚀刻部分一般从该端口边界的中心区域延伸到部分蚀刻弧。应当理解,可以应用许多部分蚀刻弧/基本线性的部分蚀刻部分结构以产生各种多叶片结构,并且这种变体和多叶片结构属于本公开内容的范围内。
在另一实施例中,在隔板10的相反或第二侧进行部分蚀刻。这种部分蚀刻可以但不必须是模仿该隔板10第一侧的蚀刻。以示例的方式,该未部分蚀刻的铰接区域62可以被部分蚀刻在隔板10的相反侧以帮助或促进以特定的轨迹或模式铰接。
本端口痕迹50的优点是,端口痕迹50被成形在部分蚀刻步骤中并且被穿孔以形成打开的端口40。因此,本方法允许使用预期的椭圆形、圆齿状或其他端口边界形状。
类似地,该部分蚀刻弧不必须是相等的长度;可以使用不同长度的部分蚀刻部分,从而得到不等的叶片。而且,图6-8的基本线性的部分蚀刻部分不必须是基本线性的,而是可以是以弓形或曲线结构部分蚀刻的。这种叶片变体可以用于影响通过该打开的端口进入流体腔的墨水的流动特性。
Claims (8)
1.一种墨滴释放设备,包括:
包括流体腔和流体通道的主体;
配置成附着到该主体的隔板;
该隔板包括在该隔板内由周边形成的预定区域,该预定区域包括部分蚀刻的部分和未蚀刻的铰接周边部分,并且该预定区域与该流体腔对准。
2.如权利要求1所述的墨滴释放设备,其中该预定区域的该部分蚀刻的部分包括部分蚀刻的周边部分。
3.如权利要求2所述的墨滴释放设备,其中该部分蚀刻的周边部分是圆形、椭圆形、弓形或线性中的至少一种。
4.如权利要求2所述的墨滴释放设备,其中该预定区域的部分蚀刻的部分包括与该部分蚀刻的周边部分交叉的部分蚀刻线。
5.如权利要求1所述的墨滴释放设备,其中该预定区域的部分蚀刻的部分形成V形的分段。
6.如权利要求1所述的墨滴释放设备,其中该隔板还包括位于该隔板第二侧的第二预定区域中的第二部分蚀刻的周边部分。
7.如权利要求1所述的墨滴释放设备,其中该周边部分在该部分蚀刻的部分处断裂并且在未蚀刻的铰接周边部分处弯曲。
8.如权利要求7所述的墨滴释放设备,其中该未蚀刻的铰接周边部分设置成防止该隔板和由该部分蚀刻的部分形成的叶片相分离。
