Abstract

Description

图象文件容器
(1)技术领域
本发明一般涉及数据处理，且特别涉及图象文件的存储和建立。
(2)背景技术
通常，传统图象文件格式规定在一个图象文件中存储一个单个的图象。例如：使用这种传统图象文件格式的数字照相机会为每张拍摄的像片建立一个分离的图象文件。因此，如果摄影师用这个照相机拍几张相关的图象以形成一个全面的照片，每个图象都会被存储在一个分离的图象文件，要求摄影师或其它使用者手工组织和跟踪各个图象文件只到它们被整合到一个分开的过程中。这个手工任务会很麻烦并容易出错，特别是当摄影师/使用者有大量图象要管理的时候。
传统图象文件格式的另一缺点是它们一般不支持数字权限管理(DRM)特征。因而，图象所有者一般不可以使用相同级别的普遍可得到的知识产权保护或音像内容。
传统图象文件格式的缺点还有它们不为注解图象提供方便的、集成的支持。例如：如果摄影师或使用者想用传统图象文件格式为单个的图象文件或一组相关的图象提供声音注解，摄影师或使用者通常必须将声音注解存储在一个分开的文件中并手工管理在这两个文件之间的关联。
(3)发明内容
根据所述各个实施例的几个方面，图象容器文件查具有至少一个第一多媒体流和一个第二多媒体流。图象容器文件可包含超过两个多媒体流。第一多媒体流包括代表一个图象的第一图象数据。第二多媒体流包括任意的数据，通常与第一多媒体流的图象相关。例如：该任意数据可与同一图象的不同表示相对应。该任意数据还可对应于对第一图象数据的图象、音频、视频、文本、日期和时间、位置、网链接、或动画注解。任意数据还可以对应于与第一多媒体流的图象数据在在某些方面相关的第二图象数据。例如：第二多媒体数据可以是与在超时期间捕获到的一系列图象相对应的多个多媒体流之一，或是可与第一图象数据相结合形成具有更高整体质量(例如：更大的动态范围、象素分辨率或视野)的新图象。

在另一方面，图象容器文件还可以包括一个可扩展元数据对象，以保存描述存储在图象容器文件中的一个或多个图象表示的信息。元数据可包括与图象(或音频或视频片断)有关的信息诸如：标题、创作者、主题、说明、出版人、投稿人、日期、格式、语言和其它类型的取决于应用程序的想要的信息。元数据还可以根据每容器或每数据流，引用图象文件容器中的其它流。
在另一方面，图象容器文件可用加密格式存储一个或多个图象表示和/或其它密码格式的多媒体流。在此例中，图象容器文件会包括数字权限限信息。例如：数字权限限信息可以涉及得到访问包含在图象容器文件中的加密的数据的许可。

(5)具体实施方式
图1示出根据一个实施例使用图象容器文件的简化的系统100。在此实施例中，系统100包括装置102和平台104。在典型的应用中，装置102是图象生成装置，例如：数字照相机、扫描仪、移动电话(带照相机)、带照相机的个人电脑、带照相的个人数字助理(PDA)、带静象捕获的机顶盒、带静象捕获的磁带放像机、带静象捕获的数字通用盘放象机(DVD)、或其它合适的图象感测/捕获设备或装置。平台104通常和个人电脑、存储器装置(例如：硬盘驱动器、压缩磁盘、数字通用盘(DVD)、磁带、网络存储器或其它存储媒体)、打印机、或其它适合用于存储或观看图象的设备或装置一起实施。系统100的其它实施例可以用类似于装置102的多个装置或类似于平台104的多个平台，或这些装置和平台的组合实施。在此实施例中，可以在装置和/或平台之间可交换地传送图象容器文件。
在此实施例中，装置102包括图象容器文件发生器110、数据存储器114和到通信媒体的接口116。在此实施例中，平台104包括图象容器文件读出器120、数据存储器124和接口126。在其它实施例中，(例如：当将平台104主要作为存储器使用时)可以省略图象文件读出器120。
装置102通过接口116和链路108将图象容器文件106(由图象容器文件发生器110生成并存储在数据存储器114中)发送至平台104。作为示例，链路108可以是直接布线的连接、无线连接、网络(例如：局域网、因特网、电话系统等等)、从装置102到平台104的可移除媒体的直接传输(可移除磁盒媒体、闪存媒体、CD-ROM、DVD-RW或DVD+RW)等等。平台104通过接口126接收图象容器文件106并将它存储在数据存储器124。然后，就可以象用户想要的那样，通过图象容器文件读出器120访问图象容器文件106中包含的数据了。
和使用传统图象文件格式的系统不同，系统100使用图象容器文件106，以为存储图象、图象注解、数字权限限管理(DRM)信息和其它自说明方式的任意信息提供一个灵活的、可扩展的、向后兼容的机制。以下结合图3-6更详细地描述图象容器文件106的实施例。
图2示出根据一个实施例形成图象容器文件106(图1)。见图1和2，装置102的这个实施例如下形成一个图象容器文件。在方框202中，装置102收集图象数据。在一个实施例中，从图象传感器(未示出)收集图象数据。
例如：该传感器可以是数字照相机的电荷耦合器件(CCD)。然后将图象数据存储在数据存储器114中。在一些实施例中，可以用装置处理图象数据，然后将图象数据存储在数据存储器114中。图象数据可以是原始的传感器数据、非压缩图象数据(即，处理成图象的非压缩表示的原始数据)；压缩图象数据(即，根据联合图象专家组(JPEG)或其它合适的压缩格式)。图象数据的格式通常取决于由装置执行的处理，并如以下将描述的，图象容器文件106被设计为接受任何格式。

在判定块206中，装置102确定是否要将附加的信息与方框202中收集的图象数据相关联。例如：装置102可包括麦克风及用于记录音频片段的合适处理组件。用户可通过启动音频记录组件并对着麦克风说话来为方框202中收集的图象数据作声音注解。在此实施例中，将图象容器文件发生器110配置成检测何时启动音频记录特征注解时在方框202中收集的图象数据。
装置102还可包括其它生成要与在方框202中收集的图象数据相关联的信息的特征。这些特征的例子包括(但不限于)：(a)单个图象的验证和缩略图尺寸图象和全尺寸表示的自动生成；(b)生成随后将被处理以建立全景图象的一序列单个图象；(c)生成具有对不同曝光设置、白平衡设置、压缩设置、象素分辨率、色空间(例如：用于打印的色空间和用于用监视器显示的不同色空间)、视野、彩色背景(以下详述)；(d)生成其它注解(例如：视频、图形、文本注解)；和(e)添加可执行应用程序(例如：解释原始图象数据或解码专用压缩格式所需的应用程序)。在一个实施例中，以实质上类似于高级系统格式(ASF)的方式将视频和音频数据流加到图象容器文件106中。每个附加的数据块都被添加一个具有首部信息的附加多媒体流，首部信息是有关存储在首部部分的数据的信息，而数据本身存储在图象容器文件106的数据部分。
如这里所使用的，色空间是数学空间，在其中可用(通常)少量的颜色坐标定义色值。例如：RGB色空间用三个坐标(标志R，G和B)来指定一种颜色，CMYK色空间用四种不同的坐标(C，M，Y和K)来指定一种颜色。色值在这二个空间中表现不同。RGB通常用于描述光，它是加法的。CMYK通常用于描述油墨，它是减法的。可以将色值从一个色空间转变成另一个色空间，但在某些情况中，这将会降低色值。
如这里所使用的，彩色背景参照某个对象的标准定义颜色坐标实际指什么。例如：几个装置可使用RGB色空间，但在每个这些装置上显示的相同RGB色值可能看上去不一样(即使在相同的观看条件下)。这是因为每个装置都使用不同的彩色背景。
在判决方框206中图象容器文件发生器110确定没有附加信息将与在方框202中收集的图象数据相关联，该图象容器文件是完整的且形成图象容器文件的操作流程结束了。否则，操作流程进到方框208。
回到图2，在方框208中，装置104形成另一多媒体流。如果附加信息是用于图象的另一表示的图象数据，图象容器文件发生器110以与方框202和204中先前描述的实质上相同的方式执行方框208。即，在此实施例中，图象容器文件发生器110生成首部信息并将它存储在首部部分，将图象数据(例如：象素数据)中至少一些存储到数据部分，并将用于此新信息的位置信息存储在索引部分中。如果附加信息不是图象数据，图象容器文件发生器110将执行实质上相同的操作，但首部信息将在图象容器文件106的首部部分中包括专用于附加信息的信息。例如：首部信息可包括指示该附加信息是音频数据、视频数据、可执行应用程序等等。然后，操作流程返回到判决方框206，以确定是否应形成另一多媒体流。

以上对首部部分302的描述示出特定实施例；然而，在其它实施例中，可用任何合适的格式(例如：不同的首部信息格式、定义等等)形成首部部分302。

索引部分306包括分别用于第一到第N多媒体流的索引3161-316N。如前所述，索引信息被用于在数据对象中定位数据的想要部分。在一个实施例中，索引对象306实质上与在前述ASF格式中使用的索引对象类似。在其它实施例中，可以使用其它合适的索引机制。
图4示出根据第二实施例的图象容器文件106(图1)的组件。此实施例实质上与图3的实施例相类似，除了此实施例在首部部分302中包括一元数据部分400。元数据部分400提供一个用于将元数据与图象容器文件106的所有多媒体流或与图象文件容器106的一个或多个特定多媒体流相关联的机制。另外，元数据部分400使图象文件容器106的最终用户能对元数据进行访问，而不必处理数据部分304和索引部分306。还有，元数据部分400提供可扩展元数据格式，以在将图象容器文件106适用于其它应用程序方面提供灵活性。
在一个实施例中，元数据部分400允许定义一个或多个名字空间，在每个名字空间中都具有专用的元数据项，包括：自说明名字字段和相关联的值字段。在一个实施例中，此元数据内容被映射成可扩展标记语言(XML)。在一个实施例中，名字空间可包含具有实质上类似于2003年3月4日出版的Dublin Core Metadata Initiative(DCMI)Metadata Terms中及2003年2月12出版的DCMI Type Vocabulary中的定义的定义。另选的或附加的元数据名字空间也可以包括与那些与其它建立的元数据标准相对应的实质上相类似的定义。例如：这些其它格式包括2002年4月日本电器工业发展联合会(Japan Electronic Industry Development Association(JEIDA))的用于数字照相机(EXIF)版本2.2的可交换图象文件格式和/或1997年7月国际新闻电讯理事会(International Press Telecommunicat ions Council(IPTC))出版的信息交换模型(IIM)版本4.1。其它标准化的或应用程序专用的自说明名字空间也可包括在元数据部分400中。
元数据部分400可包括诸如：标题、创作者、主题、说明、出版人、投稿人、日期、格式、语言和其它类型的取决于应用程序的想要的信息之类与图象(或音频或视频片断)相关的信息。因为元数据部分400是可扩展的，应用程序和/或用户能定义它们自己的元数据，且这些扩展可以没有冲突地在单个容器和元数据部分同时使用。
图5示出根据第三实施例的图象容器文件106(图1)的组件。此实施例实质上与图4的实施例相似，除了此实施例在首部部分302包括数字权限限管理(DRM)部分500和分别用于第一到第N多媒体流的加密数据5141-514N(取代图4的实施例中的3141-314N)。在一个实施例中，DRM部分500包括与访问加密数据5141-514N有关的信息。例如：DRM部分500可包括许可服务器的通用资源定位器(URL)(即，用户可从中取得使用包含在图象容器文件106中的图象和其它数据的许可)。该许可可包括用于解密和加密的数据5141-514N的密钥。DRM信息还可以与验证图象数据的真实性相关。在其它实施例中，可以基于每多媒体流应用加密。

Claims (62)

1.一种在图象文件中使用图象文件容器的方法，其特征在于，包括：
使用所述图象文件容器的数据部分用来包括与第一多媒体流相关的第一图象数据及与第二多媒体流相关的第一任意数据，其中所述第一图象数据表示至少第一象素格式，所述第二媒体流包括第二图象数据，且其中所述第二图象数据表示至少第二象素格式；和
使用所述图象文件容器的首部部分用来包括包含与第一多媒体流相关的信息的第一首部对象及包含与第二多媒体流相关的信息的第二首部对象，其中所述第一和第二图象数据提供单个图象的不同表示。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于，使用所述数据部分用来包括与三个或更多个多媒体流相关的数据。
3.如权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于，所述第一和第二图象数据分别包括压缩和非压缩图象数据。
4.如权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于，所述第一图象数据是按第一照相机设置得到的，而所述第二图象数据是按第二照相机设置得到的。
5.如权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于，第二图象数据表示具有不同于第一象素格式的第二象素格式的单个图象，其中象素格式包括一个或多个组件、组件定序和组件数字格式。
6.如权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于，所述第一图象数据是用第一色空间得到的，而第二图象数据是从第二色空间得到的。
7.如权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于，所述第一图象数据是按第一彩色背景得到的，而第二图象数据是按第二彩色背景得到的。
8.如权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于，所述第一图象数据表示具有第一视野的单个图象，而第二图象数据表示具有第二视野的单个图象。
9.如权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于，所述第一图象数据包含原始图象传感器数据。
10.如权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于，所述第二多媒体流包括表示由第一图象数据表示的图象的注解的数据。
11.如权利要求10所述的方法，其特征在于，所述第二多媒体流包含音频数据。
12.如权利要求10所述的方法，其特征在于，所述第二多媒体流包含视频数据。
13.如权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于，所述第二多媒体流包含可执行组件。
14.如权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于，所述第二多媒体流包含第二图象数据，其中来自第一图象的数据和来自第二图象的数据被结合起来用于表示比由第一和第二图象数据表示的单个图象大的图象。
15.如权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于，所述第二多媒体流包含第二图象数据，其中来自第一图象的数据和来自第二图象的数据被结合起来用于表示比由第一和第二图象数据表示的单个图象质量高的图象。
16.如权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于，所述图象文件容器还包括元数据。
17.如权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于，还包括：使用所述图象文件容器的索引部分以包含与存储在数据部分的数据的位置相关的信息。
18.如权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于，所述存储在数据部分的数据是加密的。
19.如权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于，所述首部还包括数字权限管理信息。
20.如权利要求19所述的方法，其特征在于，所述数字权限管理信息包括与取得访问第一图象数据的许可相关的信息。
21.如权利要求19所述的方法，其特征在于，所述数字权限管理信息包含与取得验证第一图象数据的真实性的许可相关的信息。
22.如权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于，所述图象文件容器与高级系统格式(ASF)兼容。
23.如权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于，所述第二多媒体流包含图象、音频、视频、图形、文本、日期和时间、位置、Web链接、或动画数据。
24.一种用于形成用于储存与一个或多个多媒体流相关联的图象文件容器的方法，其特征在于，包括：
收集图象数据；
在图象文件容器中形成一个第一多媒体流，第一多媒体流包括从收集的图象数据得到的第一图象数据和具有与第一图象数据相关的信息的第一首部对象，其中所述第一图象数据表示至少第一象素格式；
收集任意数据；及
在图象文件容器中形成一个第二多媒体流，第二多媒体流包括从收集的任意数据得到的第一任意数据和具有与第一任意数据相关的第二首部对象，其中所述第一任意数据包括第二图象数据，所述第二图象数据表示至少第二象素格式，所述第一和第二图象数据提供单个图象的不同表示。
25.如权利要求24所述的方法，其特征在于，所述第一和第二图象数据分别包含压缩和非压缩图象数据。
26.如权利要求24所述的方法，其特征在于，所述第一图象数据是按第一照相机设置得到的，而所述第二图象数据是按第二照相机设置得到的。
27.如权利要求24所述的方法，其特征在于，所述第一图象数据代表具有第一象素分辨率的第一图象数据，而第二图象数据代表具有不同于第一象素分辨率的第二象素分辨率的单个图象。

45.一种用于存储图象数据的系统，其特征在于，该系统包括：
一个图象数据接收器；和
图象文件发生器，以形成用以储存图象数据的图象文件容器，所述图象文件容器具有多个多媒体流，所述多个多媒体流包括第一多媒体流和第二多媒体流，其中第一多媒体流包括从由图象数据接收器接收的图象数据得到的第一图象数据，和第二多媒体流包括任意数据，其中所述任意数据包括第二图象数据，所述第一和第二图象数据提供单个图象的不同表示。
46.如权利要求45所述的系统，其特征在于，所述任意数据包含表示由第一图象数据表示的图象的注解的数据。
47.如权利要求50所述的系统，其特征在于，所述任意数据包含音频、视频、图形、文本、日期和时间、位置、web链接、或动画数据。

56.如权利要求54所述的系统，其特征在于，所述数字权限管理信息包含与验证第一图象数据的真实性相关的信息。

58.如权利要求57所述的系统，其特征在于，所述多媒体阅读器包括一个可阅读高级系统格式(ASF)文件的阅读器。
