Abstract

Description

保护外壳
本发明涉及一种用于一移动通信终端装置的保护外壳,以及一由一移动通信终端装置和一相应的保护外壳组成的设备。
现代移动通信终端装置,尤其是移动无线电通信装置,但也有寻呼机或者类似的设备,不断为使用者开发越来越多的多媒体应用功能,例如访问国际互联网(Internet)、存储管理服务(SMS)。另一方面,这种移动装置变得越来越小,这样必然对于多媒体应用所需的输入、输出单元所提供的空间也越来越少。为了解决这个问题,迄今为止,该应用适应于通信终端装置的情况。因此对于使用仅仅带有小屏幕的装置如移动无线电通信装置访问互联网发展了WAP标准。该问题部分地可尝试通过合适的软件来解决,其中例如将移动通信装置设置有一可变化的、依赖上下文的键盘布置。对此的一个例子是所谓的T9方法,它用于使用一数字键盘进行字母数字符号的简单输入,而该T9方法在流行的移动通信装置中用于输入SMS信息。在其它的移动通信装置中,如此一特别小的键盘的问题通过在该装置上安装折叠键盘来解决,可是这样会使该装置比较大、比较重、并且不便于用作移动通信装置。
本发明的任务是,提出一种现有技术的替代方案。
这个任务通过一用于一移动通信终端装置的保护外壳、或者通过由一移动通信终端装置与一相应的保护外壳所组成的设备来解决,其中该保护外壳具有一输入和/或输出机构以及一用于传递该输入和/或输出机构与该移动通信终端装置之间的信号的接口。
在这种保护外壳中,或者涉及一完全包围该移动通信终端装置的小盒,或者也涉及一盖,它用于该移动通信终端装置的对接触灵敏的件,尤其是键盘和显示器。该保护外壳在这里可以做成硬壳体、软保护外壳或者加衬的保护外壳。
对于许多移动通信装置已经设置了这样一种保护外壳。这种保护外壳通常具有一些较大的、完全没有利用的平面,在这些平面上提供了用于输入或输出单元的较多的位置。根据本发明将输入或者输出机构集成到该保护外壳中,因此其本身在移动通信终端装置上不需要或者仅仅需要最少的附加位置。该移动通信终端装置本身不变重,并且也不需要如同现有的保护外壳。
由于通常保护外壳可以固定在例如腰带上,以此许多使用者无论如何总是有一个保护外壳在身边,这样无需随身携带附加的例如一聊天板的装置。
最好用一标准接口,它在几乎所有的移动无线电通信装置中本来就已经存在。在这里原则上涉及一近距离作用的无线的接口,例如一红外线接口或者蓝牙(Bluetooth)接口。可是最好应用一具有一插接件的接口,该插接件用于将输入和/或输出机构与该移动通信终端装置连接起来。该插接件最好设计成连接到移动无线电通信装置的一个标准输入/输出出口上,例如用于充电装置或汽车自由通话设备的所谓扩展连接器(Extension Connector)。通过这样选择接口,制造通信终端装置就如同通常情况不用增加费用。
有利的是,通过该插接件也可以保证保护外壳中的输入或输出单元的供电。
在一种由通信终端装置和保护外壳组成的优选的设备中,通信终端装置具有一控制机构,在该移动通信终端装置与该保护外壳的该接口相连接时,该控制机构使在该移动通信终端装置的显示器上的一显示自动指向相对保护外壳的输入和/或输出机构的所希望的方向。也就是说,该移动通信终端装置可以自动识别出已连接到保护外壳的输入和/或输出机构,并且这个输入和/或输出机构随后做好应用的准备。相应于此,在显示器上的显示如此旋转,以致于例如对于使用者,保护外壳的一键盘和该移动通信终端装置互相匹配地定位。
在该设备的另一种优选实施变型中,该移动通信终端装置在一前侧面上具有一个第一显示器与该移动通信终端装置的一集成的输入机构一起使用。在背侧面上具有一个第二显示器与保护外壳的输入和/或输出机构一起供使用。在这里具有意义地涉及一个将例如背侧面的一大部分覆盖起来的、较大的显示器。在移动无线电通信机构与保护外壳的接口相连接时,借助于在移动通信终端装置中的相应的转接机构自动实现从第一显示器转接到第二显示器,这样例如在应用一个在保护外壳中附加的、较大的键盘时提供一相应的较大的显示器。
下面根据示出的附图借助于实施例对于本发明作进一步地说明。上面所示出的特征和以上所描述的特征不仅仅以所述的组合,而且也可单独地或者以其它组合是本发明的重要特征。在此示出:
图1根据第一种实施例的按本发明的设备的一透视图,由移动无线电通信装置和一个小盒组成;
图2经过一根据第二种实施例的按本发明的设备的示意的纵截面,该设备由一移动无线电通信装置和一盖所组成;
在图1所示的实施例中,在小盒子1盖的内侧面上集成有一个用于方便地输入如短信息或者电子邮件的字母-数字键盘5。这个键盘可以按一普通的键盘进行布局,并可附加地具有一指针控制器,例如一个安装在键G、H和B之间的游戏杆或者相似之物。
对于一商业上通用的移动无线电通信装置2,该保护外壳具有通用的显示器8和一通用的键盘9。
如图1所示出,移动无线电通信装置2沿箭头方向安装进小盒1中。在这里,通过一插接件6自动地产生移动无线电通信装置与键盘5之间的电连接,其中插接件6嵌入到连接器(例如在图1中未示出的、所谓的扩展连接器(Extension Connector)或者光尔格(Lumberg)连接器中,而该连接器在通常位置上位于移动无线电通信装置2中的下侧。通过这样一个插接件,原则上也可使键盘5获得供电。插接件6固定地集成在小盒1中。
在一种特别优选的实施例中,在移动无线电通信装置2中有一个控制机构,其在接通该移动无线电通信装置时,当移动无线电通信装置2位于小盒1中或者插接件6插入到连接器中时,该控制机构可以自动识别出。一旦认出了该移动无线电通信装置与键盘5的这种电连接,那么通过该控制机构使得在移动无线电通信装置2的显示器8中的显示自动转过90°,这样,使用该移动无线电通信装置可以方便地在大的字母-数字键盘5上键入电子邮件、短信息以及其它任意的文本。尤其在所谓的“点阵显示器”(Dot Matrix Displays)中提供了这样一种旋转装置。
在这种实施例其它未示出的变型中,在该移动无线电通信装置的背侧面上存在第二个大显示器。该移动无线电通信装置用键盘向下插接到该小盒中。在识别出移动无线电通信装置与键盘之间通过插入的插接件连接时,借助于相应的转接装置自动地由前面的显示器转接到背面的显示器上,这样不仅向使用者提供了一舒适的键盘,而且还提供了一带有较大行宽的、可很好读数的显示器。
图2示出了另一种简单的变型,其中该设备由一移动无线电通信装置4和一保护盖3所组成。保护盖3在此处设计为一第二上盖,并且仅仅覆盖带有键盘9和显示器8的移动无线电通信装置4的前侧面。为此,该移动无线电通信装置4在前侧面的边缘上还具有一圈沟槽12,一保护盖3的相应的固定棱边11嵌入沟槽12中。
在保护盖3的内侧面7上有一个相对大的字母-数字键盘5。在其外侧面上一皮带夹10安装在保护盖3上。
保护盖3中的键盘5和移动无线电通信装置4之间的连接还可以通过一插接件,例如用一电缆(未示出)来实现。原则上也可在保护盖3上的一合适的位置处外侧安装一相应的插接件,该插接件与移动无线电通信装置4中的一个匹配的连接器相连接。

Claims (9)

1.用于一移动通信终端装置(2,4)的保护外壳(1,3),其特征为一输入和/或输出机构(5)、一用于在该输入和/或输出机构(5)与该移动通信终端装置(2,4)之间传递信号的接口。
2.根据权利要求1的保护外壳,其特征为一字母-数字键盘(5)。
3.根据权利要求1或2的装置,其特征在于,该接口具有一用于连接输入和/或输出机构(5)与移动通信终端装置(2,4)的插接件(6)。
4.根据权利要求3的保护外壳,其特征在于,插接件(6)设计为连接到一移动无线电通信装置(2,4)的标准输入/输出出口上。
5.根据权利要求1至4中任一项的装置,其特征在于,输入和/或输出机构(5)安装在保护外壳(1,3)的在闭合状态中位于内部的侧面(7)上。
6.由根据前面权利要求中的任一项所述的一移动通信终端装置(2,4)以及一保护外壳(1,3)组成的设备。
7.根据权利要求6的设备,其特征在于,该移动通信终端装置具有一控制机构,在该移动通信终端装置与该保护外壳的该接口相连接时,该控制机构使在该移动通信终端装置的显示器上的一显示自动指向相对保护外壳的输入和/或输出机构的所希望的方向。
8.根据权利要求6或7的设备,其特征在于,该移动通信终端装置在一前侧面上具有一个第一显示器与该移动通信终端装置的一集成的输入机构一起使用;在背侧面上具有一个第二显示器与保护外壳的输入和/或输出机构一起使用。
9.根据权利要求8的设备,其特征在于,该移动通信终端装置具有一转接机构,在该移动通信终端装置与保护外壳的接口相连接时,该转接装置自动地从第一显示器转接到第二显示器上。
