Abstract

本发明涉及移动电话,尤其(但不排除其它)涉及能够使用由GSM移动电话标准规定的短消息服务来发送和接收短文本消息的移动电话。
相关领域描述
GSM短消息服务(SMS)能够由网络中的基站和移动单元使用,以便向目标移动单元询问和从其获得信息,并且它能够用于变更该移动单元的可操作设置。
这些信息可能涉及移动站的地理位置,或正在运行的移动站的当前小区位置的详细资料。一些能够被修改的可操作设置可能包括闭合用户群数、呼叫转移或呼叫限制等等的详细资料。
因此,希望提供一种系统,在该系统中对用于产生可操作变更或从移动单元请求信息的短消息(SM)进行编码,以防止欺骗性使用。
发明概述
根据本发明的一个方面,提供了操作移动电话的一种方法,它包括:
接收来自呼叫者的包括身份数据、密钥数据和指令数据的消息数据,身份数据与呼叫者有关;
组合身份数据和密钥数据以生成接收的安全数据;
根据接收的身份数据,从电话的存储器中获得储存的安全数据;
比较接收的安全数据和储存的安全数据;以及
如果接收的安全数据与储存的安全数据一致,则处理指令数据,或者如果接收的安全数据和储存的安全数据不一致,则拒绝指令数据。

优选实施例详述
移动电话1如图1所示,包含显示器2和键盘3。众所周知,GSM移动电信标准规定了在一个移动网络中的两个站之间使用短消息服务(SMS)来进行的短文本消息(短消息SM)的发送和接收。短消息能用于获得有关移动站的信息,并能用于变更一个移动站的可操作设置。
参考图2,移动电话1包含显示器2、键盘3和天线4。天线4连接到发送/接收装置5,发送/接收装置5进行操作以通过移动电话网发送和接收信号。微处理器6控制着移动电话的功能,它被连接以通过发送/接收装置5来接收和发送信号。另外,移动电话还包括存储器7,用于为电话用户储存电话簿条目。电话簿存储器7的一个典型的条目包含一个人的电话号码以及那个人的姓名。
在本发明的实施例中,安全号码(SN)储存在电话簿存储器7中。安全号码与呼叫者的号码相关联,该呼叫者被授权以便询问移动站。电话簿条目在图3中简要显示,其中呼叫方的号码表示为CLI(呼叫线路标识),安全号码用SN表示。
在根据本发明操作的系统中,当移动网中的一个站希望通过短消息服务(SMS)的方式询问另一个站时,该站会发送短消息(SM)到其感兴趣的站。短消息的内容在图4中简要表示。短消息包含表示呼叫站号码的部分、相对被叫站唯一的个人身份码、以及消息13。正如下文所述,呼叫站的号码11用于与个人身份码12组合在一起来确定收到的安全号码。接着把收到的安全号码与储存的安全号码相比较,以确定消息13是否能在移动单元中处理,所述储存的安全号码在被叫站的电话簿中与呼叫者的号码相关联。
例如,算法把个人身份码(PIC)(例如,4位数字)和请求站的国际电话号码组合起来。这个国际电话号码的长度通常是13或14位数字。该算法生成一个可以包含字母和数字的安全号码。该算法更适合以类似于已知的自动密码生成器的方式运算。
参考图5,移动单元1接收一个短消息(20),该短消息包含呼叫者的号码和移动单元的个人身份码。呼叫线路标识号码和个人身份码(PIC)被使用仅为有关移动单元所知的算法组合在一起,以生成一个所谓的接收安全号码。输入消息的呼叫线路标识号码11用来识别电话簿存储器7中的一个条目,并且该电话簿条目用于为特定的呼叫站提供储存的安全号码。
在本发明的优选实施例中,PIC由用户选择,因此它相对每个移动电话是唯一的。用于组合PIC和进入的呼叫线路标识号码的算法最好由制造商确定,这样,算法对每个电话不必是唯一的。可是,增加的安全性应当由一个对每个电话唯一的算法来提供。
接收的安全号码接着与储存的安全号码相比较,如果这些号码相互不一致,则进入的消息遭拒绝。然而,如果两个号码一致则该消息被接收,并由移动电话处理。
因此,本发明的实施例可以提供一种移动电话,它通过在该电话的电话簿存储器的电话簿条目中储存特定的呼叫站的安全号码,来允许安全地访问由移动电话提供的信息。由于组合算法和安全号码对移动电话用户来说是秘密的,所以提高安全性是可能的。

Claims (8)

1.一种操作移动电话的方法,它包含:
接收来自呼叫者的包括身份数据、密钥数据和指令数据的消息数据,身份数据涉及呼叫者而密钥数据涉及被叫单元;
组合身份数据和密钥数据来生成接收的安全数据;
根据接收的身份数据,从电话的存储器中获得储存的安全数据;
比较接收的安全数据和储存的安全数据;以及
如果接收的安全数据与储存的安全数据一致,则处理指令数据,或者如果接收的安全数据和储存的安全数据不一致,则拒绝指令数据。
2.权利要求1中要求的方法,其中消息数据的形式是GSM短消息,并且储存的安全数据储存在用户可访问的移动电话的存储区。
3.权利要求2中要求的方法,其中存储区是用于存储呼叫者身份数据和相关的已储存的安全数据的电话簿存储器。
4.权利要求1、2或3中要求的方法,其中身份数据和密钥数据通过使用与被叫单元唯一关联的算法而组合在一起。
5.移动电话包括:
接收装置,用于接收来自呼叫者的包括身份数据、密钥数据和指令数据的消息数据,身份数据涉及呼叫者而密钥数据涉及被叫单元;
存储器装置,用于储存呼叫者身份数据和相关的已储存的安全数据;
数据处理装置,用于组合接收的身份和密钥数据来生成接收的安全数据;以及
比较装置,用于比较接收的安全数据和储存的、涉及接收的身份数据的安全数据,并且如果接收的安全数据与储存的安全数据一致,则用于处理指令数据,或者如果接收的安全数据与储存的安全数据不一致,则用于拒绝指令数据。
6.权利要求5中要求的移动电话,其中消息数据的形式是GSM短消息,并且储存的安全数据存储在一个用户可访问的存储区中。
7.权利要求6中要求的移动电话,其中存储区是移动电话的电话簿存储器,电话簿存储器存储呼叫者的身份数据和相关的已储存的安全数据。
8.权利要求4或5中要求的移动电话,其中数据处理装置根据与移动电话唯一相关联的算法进行操作。
