Abstract

通过增强接触端子焊接连接到电路板上的强度,使得电池连接器不需要单独的增强件,从而减小了在电路板上所占用的面积,且该焊接连接可以在该连接器的底表面上的很好平衡的位置。一种电池连接器1,包括绝缘壳体10和多个安装在壳体10中并焊接到电路板A上的接触端子20。接触端子20有:扁平基座部分21;一对从该基座部分21两侧向上竖立的侧壁部分22;以及一对接触臂24,该对接触臂24从该对侧壁部分22的每一个上伸出并彼此相对,以便与匹配接触端子接触。且基座部分21的底表面是焊接到电路板上的表面。

Description

电池连接器
技术领域
本发明涉及电池连接器，该电池连接器用于与蜂窝电话或移动式电话等的内装电池连接和用于与安装在蜂窝电话等的本体侧面的电路板上的匹配连接器配合连接。
                        背景技术
通常，蜂窝电话的内装电池采取两种形式，例如将电池装在蜂窝电话的后盖中的内置电池组和在后盖侧面分别提供的电池。各种形式的电池都适于通过使与电池相连的电池连接器与安装在蜂窝电话本体内的电路板上的匹配连接器相互连接而与电路板相连。
一种传统的电池连接器如图7所示(见JP A 7-192797)。该电池连接器100包括：壳体110，该壳体110中有多个接触端子安装槽111，且该壳体沿伸长方向延伸；多个接触端子120，它们安装在接触端子安装槽111内。
各接触端子120通过对片状金属进行冲压成形而形成，并有板状基座部分121，以便压配合到该接触端子安装槽111的壳体壁内。电路板连接部分122从基座部分121的后部(图7的左端)伸出，以便焊接连接到与电池相连的电路板(未示出)上。接触端子部分123从基座部分121的前端底部伸出，以便与匹配连接器的匹配舌片接触端子(未示出)接触。基座连接部分122包括：平板部分124，该平板部分124从基座部分121的后端底部向后伸出，并沿基本垂直于基座部分121的方向弯折；以及引线部分125，该引线部分从平板部分124的底端向后伸出，以便焊接连接到电路板上。另一方面，接触端子部分123具有：弹性弹簧部分，该弹簧部分从基座部分121前端的底端朝着基座部分121的厚度方向的外侧斜向伸出；以及尖头部分128，该尖头部分128向着弹性弹簧部分126的接触表面的相对侧往回弯折。
当匹配连接器的匹配舌片接触端子进入由壳体110形成的接触端子安装槽111中时，匹配接触端子与接触端子120的接触端子部分123的接触表面127弹性接触，从而在电池和匹配侧的电路板(未示出)之间建立导电连接。
不过，传统的电池连接器100有以下问题：因为将成为接触端子120的焊接连接部分的引线125在平板部分124的底端弯折，而该平板部分124从有相对较大面积的板状基座部分120的后端底部伸出，因此，焊接连接到电路板上的面积很小，从而减弱了焊接连接的强度。因此，在电池连接器安装到电路板上之后，由于跌落时的冲击，电池连接器100可能从电路板上脱落。为了解决该问题，可以将一个单独的增强件(未示出)安装到壳体110上，且将该增强件焊接到电路板上，而不是将该接触端子120焊接连接到电路板上。不过，这时的缺点是电池连接器100在电路板上所占用的面积变大。
而且，因为引线部分125的焊接连接在相对于电池连接器100的底表面的中心偏离的位置，该焊接连接相对于电池连接器100的位置不是很好的平衡位置，因此，当匹配连接器从前侧与该连接器相配合时，壳体110的前端侧可能升高。
                         发明内容
因此，本发明考虑到了上述问题，本发明的目的是提供一种电池连接器，通过增强接触端子焊接连接到电路板上的强度，该电池连接器不需要单独的增强件，从而减小了在电路板上所占用的面积，且该焊接连接可以在该连接器的底表面上的很好平衡的位置处。
为了解决上述问题，根据本发明的权利要求1的电池连接器包括绝缘壳体和安装在所述壳体上并与电路板焊接连接的接触端子，其特征在于：所述接触端子；以及所述基座部分的底表面是焊接到所述电路板上的焊接表面。
根据本发明的权利要求2的电池连接器，其特征在于：所述基座部分的所述底表面形成有一凹口，以便形成焊接带。

                      具体实施方式
下面将参照附图描述本发明的实施例。图1是从斜上方看到的本发明电池连接器的透视图。图2是从斜下方看到的图1中的电池连接器的透视图。
图3示出图1中的电池连接器，且A是平面图，B是正视图，C是底视图。图4是用于图1的电池连接器中的接触端子的透视图。
图1-3所示的电池连接器用于与电池组的一个电池相连，在该电池组中，电池内装在蜂窝电话的后盖(未示出)中，或者该电池连接器用于与在后盖侧面的一个单独的电池相连，该电池连接器包括绝缘壳体10和安装在该壳体10内的多个接触端子20。电池连接器1用于安装在与电池相连的电路板A(见图3B)上。
壳体10由绝缘塑料模制形成，并基本成沿其伸长方向延伸的矩形形状。在该壳体内，多个接触端子安装槽11沿伸长方向等间距形成，以便在其中安装接触端子20。各接触端子安装槽11开向壳体10的前表面12，并穿透顶表面13和底表面14。在各接触端子安装槽11的两侧壁上，侧壁安装凹口15形成为向底表面14开口，以便将接触端子20的两侧壁部分22和两侧壁延伸部分23装入该凹口15内，该接触端子20将在后面介绍。在壳体10的两端壁上，一对凸起16沿伸长方向凸出形成。在各凸起16的底表面上，定位柱17向下凸出形成。当电池连接器1安装到与电池相连的电路板A上时，该定位柱17用于该电池连接器1的定位。
最好如图4所示，各接触端子20通过对片状金属进行冲压成形而形成并有板状基座部分21。基座部分21的底表面形成与电路板A焊接连接的表面，并用于在将电池连接器1安装到与电池相连的电路板A上时与电路板A上的导体垫片焊接连接。在基座部分21的前边缘(图4的左侧边缘)和后边缘处形成有凸出的板部分21a、21b，该凸出的板部分21a、21b凸出以增加焊接连接面积和对焊接连接部分进行检查。最好如图2所示，在基座部分21的底表面上形成有凹口21c，以便形成焊接带。一对侧壁部分22相互平行地从基座部分21的两侧向上竖立(upstand)，侧壁延伸部分23从各侧壁部分22的后端侧上边缘处向上竖立。在各侧壁延伸部分23上有一对接触臂24，用于与匹配接触端子70接触，该匹配接触端子70将在后面介绍，该对接触臂24从侧壁延伸部分23的前边缘大致中心处彼此相对地向前伸出。各接触臂24从各侧壁延伸部分23的前边缘处斜向前伸出，以便朝着另一接触臂24向内倾斜，且各接触臂24弯曲，以便平行于侧壁部分22。在各接触臂24的末端，接触凸起25向内凸出形成，以便与匹配接触端子70相连。
在各接触端子20的两侧壁部分22的前边缘和后边缘以及两侧壁延伸部分23的后边缘有多个倒钩26。当接触端子20的两侧壁部分22和两侧壁延伸部分23装入形成于壳体10中的侧壁安装凹口15内时，这些倒钩26与侧壁安装凹口15的前壁和后壁啮合，从而使该接触端子20压配合固定在壳体10上。
在装配上述结构的电池连接器1时，接触端子20的两侧壁部分22和两侧壁延伸部分23从壳体20的底表面14侧插入侧壁安装凹口15内，同时使接触部分24的接触凸起25定位成朝前，然后通过压配合将接触端子22固定在壳体上，并连续对多个接触端子20进行上述操作。在对各接触端子20进行压配合时，两侧壁部分22和两侧壁延伸部分23插入到侧壁安装凹口15内，直到接触端子20的两侧壁延伸部分23的顶端23a抵靠侧壁安装凹口15的上壁(未示出)，这样，两侧壁部分22和两侧壁延伸部分23的外表面都与壳体10的壁面接触。然后，如图2和3B所示，接触端子20的扁平基座部分21的底表面基本与壳体的底表面14平齐，以便能露出。因为接触端子的基座部分21的底表面是暴露的，因此不需要在基座部分21的下面形成一个壳体壁，这样，该电池连接器的外形能较低。因为各接触臂24从各侧壁延伸部分23的前边缘处斜向前伸出，以便朝着另一接触臂24向内倾斜，且各接触臂24弯曲，以便能平行于侧壁部分22，因此，在将接触端子20压配合到壳体10中之后，各接触臂24能够在各接触端子安装槽11内向内和向外偏移。而且，接触端子20形成为大致C形的横截面，并有扁平基座部分21和从该基座部分21的两侧向上竖立的一对侧壁部分22，且该接触端子20插入侧壁安装凹口15内，因此，两侧壁部分22的外表面与壳体10的壁面接触，从而增加该壳体10的强度。
然后，将以上述方式组装的电池连接器1安装到与电池相连的电路板A上。同时，接触端子20的基座部分21的底表面与在电路板A上形成的导体垫片焊接连接。因为基座部分21形成为在两侧壁22之间延伸的平板，其底表面面积相对较大，焊接连接强度可以较高。因此，因为不需要单独的增强件来将电池连接器1牢牢地固定到电路板A上，电池连接器1在电路板上占用的面积减小。而且，因为基座部分21的焊接连接在相对于电池连接器1的底表面中心对称的位置，电池连接器1的焊接连接可以位于很好的平衡位置，因此，该焊接连接能够允许匹配连接器以任何方向插入。而且，因为在基座部分21的底表面上形成有用于形成焊接带的凹口21c，所以在将基座部分21焊接到电路板A上时能够进一步增加焊接强度。
如图5和6所示，安装在蜂窝电话本体侧面的电路板B上并用于与电池连接器1相连的匹配连接器50包括矩形绝缘壳体60和多个匹配舌片接触端子70，该多个匹配舌片接触端子70在壳体60的伸长方向上等间距提供。匹配接触端子70以与接触端子20的间距相同的间距安装在壳体60上，以便与电池连接器1的接触端子20接触。匹配接触端子70从绝缘壳体60的顶表面伸出，该匹配接触端子70的底表面与电路板B的导体垫片焊接连接。
在使用蜂窝电话时，蜂窝电话的后盖关闭，以便使该盖体与蜂窝电话本体侧面的机壳80对齐。然后，电池连接器1中的接触端子20的一对接触部分24的接触凸起25从顶部夹住匹配连接器50的匹配接触端子70，因此，接触端子20与匹配接触端子70接触，从而使电池与电路板B连接，从而向电路板B供电。因为壳体10中的接触端子安装槽11形成为穿透顶表面13和底表面14，匹配接触端子70从壳体10的顶表面13侧进入接触端子安装槽11中，以便进入到接触部分24的接触凸起25之间。因为各接触端子安装槽11开口于壳体10的前表面12，且接触部分24的接触凸起25朝前定位，因此接触端子20的接触凸起25不仅从顶部而且从侧面与匹配接触端子70接触。
当换电池时，电池连接器1以和前述步骤相反的步骤与匹配连接器50脱开，再装入新的电池。
已经对本发明的上述实施例进行了描述。但是，本发明并不局限于上述实施例，本领域技术人员可以对其进行各种变化。例如，该对接触臂24从侧壁延伸部分23的前边缘中心向前伸出并彼此相对，但是该臂也可以直接从侧壁部分22上伸出并彼此相对。
如上所述，因为根据本发明的权利要求1的电池连接器的特征在于：接触端子有：扁平基座部分；一对侧壁部分，该对侧壁部分从该基座部分两侧向上竖立；以及一对接触臂，该对接触臂从该对侧壁部分的每一个上伸出并彼此相对，以便与匹配接触端子接触；且基座部分的底表面是焊接到电路板上的表面，该焊接连接表面的面积相对较大，以便增强焊接连接的强度。因此，因为不需要单独的增强件来将电池连接器牢牢地固定到电路板上，故电池连接器在电路板上占用的面积可减小。且基座部分的焊接连接在电池连接器的底表面上不偏置，电池连接器的焊接连接位于很好的平衡位置，因此，该焊接连接能够允许匹配连接器以任何方向插入。
根据本发明的权利要求2的电池连接器，在权利要求1的发明内容中，基座部分的底表面形成有用于形成焊接带的凹口，这样，在将基座部分焊接到电路板上时，可以进一步增加焊接强度。

Claims (2)

1.一种电池连接器，包括绝缘壳体和多个安装在所述壳体中并焊接连接到电路板上的的接触端子，其特征在于：
所述接触端子有：扁平基座部分；一对侧壁部分，该对侧壁部分从所述基座部分两侧向上竖立；以及一对接触臂，该对接触臂从所述该对侧壁部分的每一个上伸出并彼此相对，以便与匹配接触端子接触；以及
所述基座部分的底表面是焊接到所述电路板上的表面。
2.根据权利要求1所述的电池连接器，其特征在于，所述基座部分的所述底表面形成有用于形成焊接带的凹口。
