Detailed Description
In order to more clearly illustrate the present invention, the present invention will be further described with reference to preferred embodiments and the accompanying drawings. Like parts in the drawings are denoted by the same reference numerals. It is to be understood by persons skilled in the art that the following detailed description is illustrative and not restrictive, and that this invention is not limited to the details given herein.
The present invention provides a touch pad device, which can be applied to any convenient electronic device requiring touch/press type input/control, such as a notebook computer, a tablet computer, etc., but is not limited thereto. In other embodiments, the touch pad device may be a stand-alone device and be externally connected to a non-portable or portable electronic device. Therefore, the user can control the touch control panel device through the actions of sliding or pressing the finger and the like so as to control the operation of the electronic device.
Referring to fig. 1 to 4, fig. 1 is a schematic structural diagram of a touch pad device according to a first embodiment of the present invention, fig. 2 and 3 are a partially enlarged top view and a partially enlarged bottom view of the stand in fig. 1, respectively, and fig. 4 is a schematic sectional view of the touch pad device in fig. 1. As shown in fig. 1 to 4, the touch pad device 1 includes a touch pad 10 and a stand 20. The touch pad 10 is used for sensing touch operation. The support 20 is disposed below the touch pad 10 to support the touch pad 10. The bracket 20 has a plurality of sets of limiting structures 24, and each set of limiting structures 24 includes two interference members (e.g., interference member 210 and interference member 220). The two interference members extend from the support 20, respectively, such that the two interference members at least partially overlap in a stacking direction (e.g., a Z-axis direction) of the touch pad 10 and the support 20.
Specifically, the touch pad 10 may be a pad body extending along an XY plane, and the touch pad 10 includes a circuit board 11 and a touch surface (e.g., a surface of the cover 12). The circuit board 11 may be a general printed circuit board, a flexible printed circuit board, or a flexible-rigid composite circuit board (Rigid-Flex PCB). The circuit board 11 has a touch circuit and a switch circuit. The touch circuit is used for sensing a touch operation of a hand or a stylus on a touch surface, and may include a sensing unit and a sensing circuit (not shown). The switch circuit includes a switch 111 and a switch circuit (not shown) for triggering the generation of a pressing signal when the touch surface is pressed by a certain force. The switch 111 of the touch pad 10 is disposed on the bottom surface of the circuit board 11, and is preferably located at the center or a position adjacent to the center of the touch pad 10, but not limited thereto. The switch 111 may be located at any convenient location of the touch pad 10 depending on the application. In an embodiment, the switch 111 may be a push button switch or a micro switch, and the stand 20 preferably has a trigger portion 25 corresponding to the switch 111 of the touch pad 10. The trigger portion 25 is disposed corresponding to the switch 111, such that the switch 111 is pressed against the trigger portion 25 to generate a pressing signal in compliance with a pressing operation of a user on the touch surface. In one embodiment, the touch pad 10 includes a cover 12, and the touch surface may be an upper surface of the cover 12. For example, the cover 12 may be a glass plate or a polymer plate disposed on the circuit board 10 for a user to touch or press.
The holder 20 includes a frame 21, a wing 22, and an elastic arm 23. The elastic arm 23 connects the wing part 22 and the frame 21, and the top surface 202 of the wing part 22 is closer to the touch pad 10 than the top surface 201 of the frame 21. The frame 21 has a frame opening 203, the flap portion 22 is provided in the frame opening 203, and the elastic arm 23 can support the flap portion 22 to move relative to the frame 21. Specifically, the frame 21 includes an outer frame 211 and a central rib 212, and the central rib 212 is connected to the inner side of the outer frame 211 to define the frame opening 203. For example, the bracket 20 may be a rectangular frame formed by punching a single metal sheet, and the frame 21, the wing portion 22 and the elastic arm 23 may be a hollow rectangular frame, so as to simplify the assembly process and increase the space utilization of the structure. The center rib 212 of the frame 21 is preferably connected to the inside of the center of the long sides of the opposite sides of the outer frame 211 in the short axis direction of the outer frame 211 to define two frame openings 203 on both sides of the center rib 212 in the long axis direction of the outer frame 211. The two wing parts 22 are respectively located in the two frame openings 203 and are connected with the outer frame 211 or the central rib 212 of the frame 21 by a plurality of elastic arms 23.
The tab portion 22 may be an E-shaped like plate. Specifically, the airfoil portion 22 may include two outer airfoils 221 and an inner airfoil 222 disposed between the two outer airfoils 221. In one embodiment, the inner fin 222 may have a component hole 204 for allowing the electronic component under the circuit board 11 to pass through. As shown in fig. 2, two outer fins 221 are disposed along the short axis direction of the outer frame 211 and adjacent to the corresponding long sides of the outer frame 211 to correspond to the four corners of the frame opening 203. The inner fin 222 is spaced apart from the two outer fins 221 by a partial connection, and the connection of the inner fin 222 and the outer fin 221 is preferably adjacent to the side of the outer frame 211 remote from the center rib 212. The elastic arm 23 is disposed between the outer wing 221 and the inner wing 222 and adjacent to the connection between the outer wing 221 and the inner wing 222 to provide a supporting force to the corner of the touch pad 10. In this embodiment, the elastic arm 23 is a bent strip structure (e.g. an L-shaped strip), and the elastic arm 23 includes an inclined section 231 and an extending section 232. The inclined section 231 is upwardly bent with respect to the extension section 232 to be connected to the inner wing 222, and the extension section 232 extends along the inner wing 222 and is outwardly bent adjacent to the center rib 212 to be connected to the inside of the long side of the outer frame 211. In addition, the supporting force to the corners of the touch pad 10 can be improved by adjusting the bending angle of the elastic arm 23. The two ends of the elastic arm 23 are respectively connected to the outer frame 211 and the tab portion 22, and in the stacking direction, one end of the elastic arm 23 connected to the tab portion 22 is preferably higher than one end of the elastic arm 23 connected to the outer frame 211, so that the top surface 202 of the tab portion 22 is closer to the touch pad 10 than the top surface 201 of the frame 21 (or the outer frame 211). Therefore, the support 20 can be combined with the touch pad 10 by the top surface 202 of the wing part 22, so that the support 20 suspends and supports the touch pad 10 by the elastic arms 23. For example, the top surface 202 of the tab portion 22 may be bonded, e.g., glued, to the bottom surface of the circuit board 11 of the touch pad 10 by any convenient means. In addition, the bonding surface between the top surface 202 of the fin portion 22 and the circuit board 11 can increase the bonding force by the micro-structure arrangement or chemical method, so as to enhance the rigidity of the touch pad 10.
In one embodiment, the stand 20 preferably has four or more sets of limiting structures 24, and the four sets of limiting structures 24 are uniformly disposed around the touch pad 10 to limit the height of the touch pad 10 and serve as the support points for providing a force feeling on opposite sides with respect to the center of the touch pad 10. The two interferometers of each set of limiting structures 24 may include a fixed interferometer 210 and a movable interferometer 220. As shown in fig. 2 (a) and (b), the fixed interference member 210 extends from the housing 21, and the movable interference member 220 extends from the flap 22. In the stacking direction (e.g., the Z-axis direction), the fixed interference member 210 and the movable interference member 220 at least partially overlap, so that when the touch pad 10 moves relative to the frame 21, the fixed interference member 210 and the movable interference member 220 can interfere to generate a limiting effect. For example, in this embodiment, each tab portion 22 may have four movable interferometers 220, and each outer tab 221 is provided with two movable interferometers 220. From another point of view, two movable interferometers 220 are respectively bent and extended downwards from both ends of the outer wing 221 so as to be respectively adjacent to the central rib 212 and the outer frame 211 on the opposite side. Corresponding to the arrangement of the movable interferometers 220, the four fixed interferometers 210 are respectively bent from the inner side of the outer frame 211 toward the direction of the touch pad 10 (e.g. upward) so as to be located above and at least partially overlap with the corresponding movable interferometers 220. Thus, four sets of the limiting structures 24 are formed in each frame opening 203, so the bracket 20 has eight sets of the limiting structures 24 corresponding to four corners of the frame 21 and four corners of the two frame openings 203 adjacent to the center rib 212, respectively. In an embodiment, the fixed interference member 210 and the movable interference member 220 may be hooks disposed in pairs, but are not limited thereto.
As shown in an enlarged view (c) of fig. 2, the trigger portion 25 is provided to the center rib 212 in correspondence with the switch 111. The trigger portion 25 may have an upwardly convex structure of the bracket 20 and be located right under the switch 111, and a gap or no gap may be provided between the trigger portion 25 and the switch 111. In one embodiment, the trigger 25 may be a tubular string with internal threads, and the switch 111 typically comprises a metal dome. By controlling the length of the screw threaded into the pipe string, the preload between the trigger 25 and the metal dome can be adjusted, whereby the pressing feel can be adjusted.
Furthermore, the bracket 20 may further have at least one reinforcing structure (e.g., reinforcing structure 26, reinforcing structure 27), and the at least one reinforcing structure includes ribs, flanges, reinforcing members, or any combination thereof. As shown in fig. 1, a plurality of ribs are formed in the extending axis direction of the center rib 212 as the reinforcing structure 27 to enhance the structural strength of the center portion of the frame 21. As shown in fig. 1, the enlarged view (b) of fig. 2, and fig. 3, the fin portion 22 may have a flange bent downward as a reinforcing structure 26 to enhance the structural strength of the fin portion 22. In other embodiments, the reinforcing structures 26, 27 may be additional reinforcing members, such as welding additional reinforcing metal strips to the bracket 20 (see reinforcing structure 26A of fig. 7).
As shown in fig. 1, the bracket 20 may further have locking holes 28 and positioning holes 29 for locking and positioning with the housing 60 (shown in fig. 9). In one embodiment, the locking hole 28 is disposed at a side of the bracket 20, and the positioning hole 29 is preferably disposed adjacent to the limiting structure 24. Thereby, the bracket 20 can be fixed to the housing 60 (described in detail later).
Referring to fig. 5, fig. 5 is a schematic structural diagram of a touch pad device according to a second embodiment of the invention. The illustration of the touch pad 10 is omitted in this embodiment, and only the differences between the present embodiment and the previous embodiment will be described later, and the same or similar details (e.g. details of the touch pad 10 and the stand 20) can be referred to the related description of the previous embodiment. As shown in fig. 5, the touch pad device 1 may further include a stiffener 30. The reinforcing plate 30 is disposed between the circuit board 11 and the support 20, and is used to increase the structural strength of the touch pad. The reinforcement plate 30 preferably has a structure and shape corresponding to the bracket 20. For example, the reinforcing plate 30 may have an outer frame 311 and a central rib 312 connected to the inner side of the outer frame 311. The center rib 312 and the outer frame 311 define two openings 31 together, and the through hole 32 is formed in the center rib 312. The outer frame 311 of the reinforcing plate 30 corresponds to the outer frame 211 of the bracket 20, and the center rib 312 of the reinforcing plate 30 corresponds to the center rib 212 of the bracket 20. The opening 31 allows the tab portion 22 of the bracket 20 to pass through, and the through hole 32 corresponds to the trigger portion 25 of the bracket 20. The reinforcement plate 30 may be bonded (e.g., adhered) to the bottom surface of the circuit board 11 by any convenient means, and the tab portion 22 of the bracket 20 is bonded to the bottom surface of the circuit board 11 through the opening 31 of the reinforcement plate 30, and the reinforcement plate 30 is sandwiched between the bottom surface of the circuit board 11 and the frame 21 of the bracket 20. The switch 111 (or metal dome) of the circuit board 11 corresponds to the trigger portion 25 of the bracket 20 through the through hole 32 of the reinforcing plate 30.
Referring to fig. 6 and 7, fig. 6 is a schematic structural diagram of a bracket according to a second embodiment of the invention, and fig. 7 is a partially enlarged bottom schematic diagram of the bracket in fig. 6. Only the differences between the present embodiment and the previous embodiment will be described later, and the same or similar details (e.g., details of the frame 21, the wing portion 22, the limiting structure 24, etc.) will be referred to the relevant description of the previous embodiment. As shown in fig. 6 and 7, the elastic member 23A of the bracket 20A is connected between the wing portion 22 and the center rib 212, and one end of the elastic arm 23 connected to the center rib 212 is adjacent to the trigger portion 25A or the center of the center rib 212. In this embodiment, the distance between the adjacent limiting structures 24 on the same side is relatively small, i.e. concentrated toward the middle, which is less favorable for limiting the opposite angle of the force during pressing. Therefore, the distance between the adjacent limiting structures 24 on the same side is increased (e.g. the embodiments of fig. 1 and 8), so that the limiting structures 24 are relatively close to the corners of the touch pad 10, and a better limiting effect can be achieved. The trigger portion 25A may not have threads. In addition, the reinforcing structure 26A is a metal strip that is additionally attached (e.g., welded, glued). The center rib 212 has a bar-shaped rib and an arc-shaped rib surrounding the trigger portion 25A as the reinforcing structure 27A and the reinforcing structure 27B, respectively.
Referring to fig. 8, fig. 8 is a schematic structural diagram of a bracket according to a third embodiment of the present invention. Only the differences between the present embodiment and the previous embodiment will be described later, and the same or similar details (e.g., details of the frame 21, the wing portion 22, the limiting structure 24, etc.) will be referred to the relevant description of the previous embodiment. As shown in fig. 8, the elastic member 23B of the bracket 20B is connected between the tab portion 22 and the outer frame 211, and two adjacent elastic arms 23 on the same side extend in the same direction to be connected to the same side of the outer frame 211. In this embodiment, the elastic arm 23B extends obliquely upward from the inside of the short side of the outer frame 211 toward the center rib 212 to connect the flap 22 in the vicinity of the junction of the inner and outer flaps (similar to the embodiment of fig. 1).
Referring to fig. 9 to 11, fig. 9 and 10 are schematic top exploded views and schematic bottom exploded views of a touch pad device according to a third embodiment of the invention, and fig. 11 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the touch pad device in fig. 9. As shown in fig. 9 to 11, in an embodiment, the touch pad device 1 may further include a housing 60, wherein the housing 60 has a housing opening 61, and the touch pad 10 is disposed in the housing opening 61. Specifically, the housing 60 may be a device housing of an electronic device, such as a keyboard housing of a notebook computer. The size and shape of the housing opening 61 preferably corresponds to the touch pad 10, such that when the touch pad 10 is disposed on the housing 60, the touch surface (e.g. the cover 12) can be exposed from the housing opening 61 for operation by a user. For example, the housing opening 61 may be a rectangular opening. Specifically, the housing 60 has a coupling hole 65 to correspond to the locking hole 28 of the touch pad device 1. For example, the locking hole 28 is preferably disposed on the lower surface of the housing 60 and adjacent to the housing opening 61, and the touch pad device can be locked to the coupling hole 65 of the housing 60 from bottom to top by using the fixing member 70. In addition, the housing 60 and the bracket 20 may have corresponding positioning mechanisms, such as the boss 67 and the positioning hole 29, which may be aligned/positioned before being locked by the fixing member 70, so as to facilitate assembly.
It should be noted that, in the above embodiment, the limiting structure 24 is disposed below (or inside) the touch pad 10, but not limited thereto. According to practical applications, the limiting structure 24 may be disposed on the outer side of the touch pad 10.
In summary, the present invention provides a limiting mechanism provided by a single bracket, which increases the space utilization of the structure. In addition, the touch control plate device of the invention adopts a single bracket with a double-layer structure, and is combined with the touch control plate by the top surface of a high layer (such as the top surface of the wing part) of the bracket so as to support the touch control plate to move relative to the lower layer (such as the frame body) of the bracket to generate displacement, thereby providing pressing hand feeling and improving the operation comfort of a user.
It should be understood that the foregoing examples of the present invention are provided merely for clearly illustrating the present invention and are not intended to limit the embodiments of the present invention, and that various other changes and modifications may be made therein by one skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention as defined by the appended claims.
