Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to an applicator system for a cosmetic hair product for a hair treatment device, in particular a hair straightening device. The invention also relates to a hair treatment device equipped with such an applicator system and a corresponding hair treatment method.
Background
Many hair treatment devices, in particular straightening irons, have been proposed for applying cosmetic products to the hair.
Typically, a hair straightener comprises two arms connected to each other with the help of a hinge that makes it possible to open and close the arms, and at least one heating element on the arms. During a treatment operation on a lock of hair, this lock is introduced between the two arms in the open position, on which the two arms are then manually closed. The lock is then subjected to the heat emitted by the heating element until the two arms open and the lock is removed.
This is the case, for example, in international application WO 2009/078046, which describes a styling apparatus comprising two arms connected together to allow the apparatus to be opened and closed, at least one heating member and at least one seat for housing a hair treatment device which makes it possible to dispense a cosmetic product in operation. The hair treatment device may comprise a carrier material impregnated with a hair product and suitable for single use.
Application WO 2013/045331 likewise discloses an applicator for applying a treatment substance to hair, comprising a cartridge of the treatment substance held in an applicator housing. The cartridge comprises a porous carrier impregnated with a treatment substance.
Application WO 2013/090896 relates to a hair treatment appliance, in particular a styling appliance, comprising a treatment agent support, in particular an impregnated porous material, to be applied to the hair or skin. The support is attached to an accessory which is itself removably mounted on the hair management appliance. The support is T-shaped to allow it to be mounted in a complementary recess of the accessory.
International applications WO 2014/064660 and WO 2018/091577 disclose hair treatment devices that allow cosmetic products to be applied by way of a refill mounted on one of the arms.
In all these devices, the cosmetic product refill is disposable. Once the reservoir of the refill is empty, a new refill must be replaced. The amount of product initially contained in the refill is limited by the volume and weight of the refill. For this reason, the amount of product contained in the refill is low and the refill must be replaced often, which increases the cost of use of the device.
Cosmetic product refills are also known, for example from international application WO 2015/097628, which enable multiple applications to the hair, comprising a reservoir of cosmetic product in the refill. However, with such refills, it is difficult to obtain a constant amount of cosmetic product to be administered during the different administration processes.
FR 1193795 discloses an applicator for applying a product, the applicator comprising a porous applicator member extending partially in a reservoir containing the product. The applicator can only be used once and cannot be opened for refilling.
Applicators for hair cosmetic products are known from WO 99/12446, US 5676480, US 5154193 and EP 3061364, comprising: a body defining a reservoir containing a cosmetic product; a porous applicator member having a first portion extending inside the reservoir for contact with the cosmetic product; and a second portion extending outside the reservoir for applying a cosmetic product. The applicator member extends through a removable portion of the body that allows for refilling of the reservoir.
There is a need for further improvements in hair product applicators and devices that allow application of hair products to ensure proper application of the hair product.
Disclosure of Invention
The present invention is intended to meet this need and the subject matter according to a first aspect thereof is an applicator system for a hair treatment device, the system comprising:
-a reservoir containing a cosmetic product,
-an applicator comprising an application member made of a porous material, the applicator being arranged to be removably attached to the reservoir such that the application member is in contact with and refilled with a cosmetic product contained in the reservoir, the applicator being configured to be removably attached to a respective receiving zone of the hair treatment device after being separated from the reservoir,
the amount of cosmetic product initially contained in the reservoir is greater than the amount of cosmetic product transferred to the application member during refilling of the application member from the reservoir.
Such a system makes it possible to obtain an applicator that can be refilled one or more times with cosmetic product, so that the cosmetic product can be repeatedly applied to the hair without having to replace the applicator. Refilling the applicator with cosmetic product is easy. It is carried out by simply mounting the applicator on a reservoir equipped with the applicator.
In such systems, the fact that the reservoir is removed from the applicator makes it possible to keep a light and not bulky applicator that is comfortable to use.
Furthermore, the application of the cosmetic product to the hair is substantially constant during the different application periods.
Preferably, if the application member stays in place on the reservoir for a sufficiently long time, the amount of cosmetic product transferred to the application member during refilling of the application member from the reservoir is such that the application member is filled with more than 90%, better still more than 95% of the maximum amount of product that can be transferred from the reservoir towards the application member by capillary action.
The cosmetic product is a beauty product applied in liquid form. The term "cosmetic hair products" denotes compositions comprising one or more active ingredients for hair, in particular products defined in the directive 93/35/EEC on 6.14.1993. Water in liquid or gaseous form, without any hair additive, does not constitute a cosmetic product within the meaning of the present invention. Cosmetic products may be intended to make hair easier to shape. Examples of active ingredients are given, for example, in sections [0031] and [0032] of publication US 2010/0307528 a 1. The product is preferably anhydrous. The product is preferably an oil-based product.
During the refilling of the application member from the reservoir, the maximum amount of cosmetic product transferred to the application member per refilling may be less than or equal to 20g, better less than or equal to 8g, preferably less than or equal to 6g, better still from 4g to 5 g. The amount of such product in the application member is such that the cosmetic product can be applied to the hair on a basis of less than 70 passes of the applicator over the hair. In this case, the transfer of the cosmetic product on the paper is preferably from 0.07g/m to 0.59g/m, over a length corresponding to one application, on the basis of 30 passes for this application.
Preferably, the application member presents an application surface for the product, which surface is intended to come into contact with a lock of hair during treatment, so as to have a continuous distribution of the product on the application surface before use, and more than 90% of the application surface is occupied by the product before use.
The application member may comprise, in particular be made of, felt. In the latter case, the fibers of the felt may all be oriented in substantially the same direction, the fibers preferably being oriented perpendicular to the surface of the lock of hair to be treated or parallel to the longitudinal direction of the applicator member.
The density of the application member is, for example, greater than or equal to 0.11g/cm3And less than or equal to 0.5g/cm3More preferably 0.15g/cm or more3And less than or equal to 0.45g/cm3And even more preferably greater than or equal to 0.18g/cm3And less than or equal to 0.45g/cm3。
The application member may assume an elongated shape, for example having a rectangular or cross-shaped cross-section, wherein one end forms an application surface intended to be in contact with the hair to be treated. The application surface is preferably flat.
The application surface may take a rectangular shape. The application surface may exhibit a larger dimension, in particular a length of 50mm to 150mm and a smaller dimension, in particular a width of 5mm to 30 mm. The applicator member may be parallelepiped. The dimensions of the application member are for example 8mm x 20mm x 90mm, the application surface presenting for example 8mm x 90 mm.
The application member may be at least partially, better still completely, made of polyolefin, in particular polyethylene and/or polypropylene, preferably of a mixture of polyethylene and polypropylene, preferably comprising from 45% to 55% by weight of polyethylene and from 55% to 45% by weight of polypropylene, in particular from 50% by weight of polyethylene and 50% by weight of polypropylene.
The cosmetic product at least partially impregnating the application member may be an anhydrous composition having a viscosity of from 10 to 300 cps, preferably from 20 to 100 cps, more preferably from 20 to 50 cps, and indeed even from 20 to 40 cps. At a pressure of 1013.25hPa, a temperature of 22 ℃ and 1s-1The viscosity of the composition is measured at a shear rate of (1). The viscosity can be measured using a cone/plate viscometer, in particular using a Haake R600 rheometer or similar device.
The term "anhydrous composition" is understood herein to mean a composition comprising less than 5% by weight of water, more preferably less than 1% by weight of water, relative to the total weight of the composition. Preferably, the anhydrous composition does not contain water added during preparation of the composition, the only water present being derived from the residual water contributed by the mixed ingredients. More preferably, the anhydrous composition is free of water.
When the cosmetic product consists of an anhydrous composition, it advantageously comprises one or more natural or synthetic oils.
The natural oil may be selected from mineral oils and vegetable oils. The mineral oil may be chosen from hydrocarbon oils derived from petroleum, volatile or non-volatile liquid paraffins, liquid petrolatum or mixtures of polyolefins. The natural oil may be selected from vegetable oils, preferably from triglyceride vegetable oils.
The synthetic oil may be chosen from silicone oils, preferably from volatile or non-volatile and linear, branched or cyclic silicone oils, optionally organomodified. The term "silicon" is understood to mean a compound comprising one or more silicon atoms in its structure.
When anhydrous, the cosmetic product may comprise one or more silicone oils, preferably in a content ranging from 0.05% to 99.9% by weight relative to the total weight of the product.
When the cosmetic product is anhydrous and comprises at least one oil, the cosmetic product advantageously comprises one or more oils in a content ranging from 1% to 100%, preferably from 5% to 99%, more preferably from 10% to 99%, better still from 25% to 99%, even better still from 50% to 99%, relative to the total weight of the product.
The cosmetic product may further comprise one or more ingredients selected from natural or synthetic waxes, cationic polymers, nonionic polymers, anionic or amphoteric non-silicone polymers, uv screeners, dyes, surfactants, pigments, preservatives and fragrances.
Preferably, the applicator is attached to the reservoir in a sealed manner. The sealing may be provided by any means, in particular by a seal.
The applicator may comprise a body defining a housing formed at least in part by two opposing walls and a bottom and open to the exterior through an opening, the applicator member being partially retained in the housing of the body and partially extending out of the housing through the opening of the body. Preferably, when the applicator is attached to the reservoir, the body of the applicator member extends out of the reservoir. For example, the main body is supported on a support, preferably in a sealing manner. Preferably, when the applicator is attached to the reservoir to be in contact with the cosmetic product contained in the reservoir, the portion of the application member protruding from the body of the application member extends through the opening of the reservoir into the reservoir. Preferably, the opening of the reservoir has substantially the same shape as the shape of the application surface.
Preferably, all parts of the applicator member that protrude from the body of the applicator member are in the reservoir when the applicator is attached to the reservoir. This makes it possible to protect the application member from outside influences in particular in addition to the use of the applicator. This is because, when the application member is not used, the user can attach it to the reservoir to, in particular, close the reservoir, protect the cosmetic product and the application member from the outside and refill the application member.
Preferably, the applicator comprises a body in which the application member extends partially. The applicator member includes an application surface extending out of the body and configured to contact hair when the applicator is removably attached to a respective receiving area of the hair treatment device, the application surface extending in the reservoir when the applicator is attached to the reservoir.
Preferably, the applicator comprises attachment embossments configured to engage with complementary embossments of a respective receiving zone of the hair treatment device.
Preferably, the attachment embossments are configured to be secured to the respective receiving areas of the hair treatment device by sliding in or over complementary embossments of the respective receiving areas of the hair treatment device.
Preferably, the reservoir initially contains an amount of cosmetic product more than three times, better more than five times, even better more than seven times the amount of cosmetic product transferred to the application member during refilling of the application member from the reservoir. This makes it possible to have a sufficient amount of cosmetic product in the reservoir to refill the applicator multiple times. Preferably, the reservoir initially contains an amount of cosmetic product comprised between 10g and 100g, better still between 20g and 30 g.
Preferably, the reservoir comprises a storage member made of a porous material containing the cosmetic product, the application member being in contact with the storage member when the applicator is attached to the reservoir. This makes it possible to store the cosmetic product in the reservoir, which limits the leakage of the cosmetic product to the outside of the reservoir, making the reservoir easier to handle.
The storage member preferably has a lower density than the density of the application member. This allows the porous material of the application member to absorb the cosmetic product contained in the storage member by capillary action, without any external action by the user.
Preferably, the density of the storage member is 0.005g/cm3To 0.2g/cm3More preferably 0.01g/cm3To 0.1g/cm3。
The volume of the storage member may be substantially equal to the volume of the reservoir. In the alternative, the volume of the storage member is less than the volume of the reservoir; the reservoir may then comprise an internal cavity containing an additional supply of cosmetic product closed by the storage member.
Preferably, the application surface is in contact with the cosmetic product entering the reservoir when the applicator is attached to the reservoir, in particular by the storage member.
Preferably, when the applicator is attached to the reservoir, the application member is configured such that if the application member stays in place on the reservoir for a sufficiently long time (less than 30 minutes, better less than 10 minutes, even better less than 5 minutes), said application member is refilled to more than 80%, better more than 90%, even better more than 95% of the maximum amount of product that can be transferred by capillary action from the reservoir towards the application member.
Preferably, the reservoir and/or the applicator comprise means for positioning and/or retaining the applicator on the reservoir, in particular positioning and/or snap-fastening the relief. This makes it particularly easier to position the applicator on the reservoir and/or to hold the system when the applicator is attached to the reservoir.
Preferably, the reservoir comprises a blocking member which prevents the applicator from being attached to the hair treatment device when the applicator is attached to the reservoir. The blocking member may in particular extend between the applicator (in particular the body of the applicator) and the attachment embossments of the applicator to prevent the attachment embossments from engaging with the complementary embossments of the device. This may reduce the risk of accidental damage to the applicator and reservoir.
Another subject of the invention is a method for filling an applicator of an application system as described above with a cosmetic product, comprising attaching said applicator to a reservoir so that the cosmetic product contained in the reservoir is transferred from the reservoir towards the applicator.
The applicator is preferably as defined above.
The filling of the application member preferably takes place by capillary action, in particular only by capillary action. Thus, filling can take place without any action by the user, such as actuating the pump or squeezing the wall.
Preferably, the applicator is attached to the reservoir by positioning an application member protruding from the body in an opening of the reservoir. Preferably, the attachment of the applicator is performed by positioning the body of the applicator against the outer wall of the reservoir and by pressing the body against the support.
Preferably, when the applicator is attached to the reservoir, the application member is in contact with the cosmetic product, in particular with a storage member made of a porous material containing the cosmetic product.
Another subject of the invention is a hair treatment device comprising:
-at least one arm having a longitudinal axis,
-an applicator system according to the invention as described above, said applicator being removably mounted on the arm.
Preferably, the reservoir is removed from the applicator when the applicator is mounted on the arm.
Preferably, the hair treatment device comprises two arms which are movable relative to each other between a closed-together configuration for treating hair and a spaced-apart configuration for inserting hair to be treated between the arms.
The device may also include at least one heating element on at least one of the arms.
The device preferably constitutes a hair straightener, in particular a straightening iron.
According to another aspect, the invention relates to a hair treatment process comprising the steps of: the device according to the invention is used to apply a cosmetic product to a lock of hair.

Detailed Description
In the continuation of the description, elements that are identical or have the same function have the same reference numerals. For the sake of brevity of this description, these elements are not depicted in each figure, only the primary differences between the embodiments are described.
An exemplary handpiece 2 for a hair treatment device 1 has been shown in fig. 1 and 2.
The handpiece 2 presents two jaws 3 and 4, which are movable with respect to each other between a spaced-apart configuration (not shown) for introducing a lock of hair between them and a closed-together configuration shown in figure 1, for the treatment of the lock of hair.
The jaws 3 and 4 are carried by an upper arm 5 and a lower arm 6, respectively, the upper arm 5 and the lower arm 6 being connected together at one end by a hinge 8 in the example in question, so that the handpiece 2 forms a clamp.
The upper arm 5 and the lower arm 6 each preferably have a total length of 22cm to 37cm and define respective half- handles 10 and 11 between the hinge 8 and the jaws 3 and 4, which half- handles 10 and 11 can be pressed by a user to close the jaws 3 and 4 together.
A resilient return member (not visible) is preferably provided to return the jaws 3 and 4 to the spaced apart configuration, for example a spring positioned about the axis of the hinge 8.
The invention is not limited to a particular manner of connecting the upper and lower arms 5, 6 together and the jaws 3, 4 may be made movable in another manner without departing from the scope of the invention. However, the presence of a hinge is highly preferred for the ergonomics to which it contributes.
The jaws 3 and 4 define between them an area for treating the hair for receiving a lock of hair to be treated, along which the handpiece 2 moves during treatment, for example in a direction from the root to the tip of the hair.
In the example in question, the handpiece 2 is configured to apply a cosmetic product, treat the hair by steam and then heat treat the hair by contact with the two hot surfaces of the heating elements 15 and 16 carried by the upper and lower arms 5 and 6, respectively.
As shown in fig. 1 or fig. 2, the direction of movement D of the handpiece 2 on the hair is preferably substantially perpendicular to the upper and lower arms 5, 6 and the longitudinal axis of the device.
In the example in question, the handpiece 2 is connected by a line 18 to a base station (not shown) which is fixed during processing and is connected to a power supply.
The base station provides power to the handpiece 2 and water to generate steam and may also perform additional functions of processing electrical signals received from the handpiece 2. The lines 18 connecting the handpiece 2 to the base station may thus include various electrical conductors and water supply pipes.
A user interface (not shown) may be present on the handpiece 2 to allow a user to activate or deactivate certain components of the handpiece 2, for example.
The cosmetic product is applied by an applicator 20 carried by one of the two arms 5 and 6, in this example the upper arm 5, the upper arm 5 being in contact with a pressing element 21. The pressing element 21 is removable.
The applicator 20 includes a body 24 and an application member 26, the application member 26 being positioned to contact hair extending through a treatment area.
The applicator 20 may be attached to the arm 5 or 6 by any means, in particular, as shown in fig. 2, by sliding the rib 25 of the body 24 into a complementary shaped groove of the handpiece 2. As shown in fig. 5, the rib 25 may be identical to that of the cosmetic product refill for a hair treatment device described in international application WO 2018/099919 incorporated by reference, that is to say comprising two profiled elements 25a and 25b defining a space between them. At least one of the profiled elements 25a and 25b may comprise locating fingers (visible in fig. 5) at its rear end to facilitate the positioning of the applicator 20 on the handpiece 2. The profiled elements 25a and 25b may be half-T-shaped and may each form a space 27 with the body 24.
As shown in fig. 2, the body 24 presents a cavity 30, the cavity 30 being open to the outside through an opening 31, the applicator member 26 being inserted into this opening 31 along the insertion axis X during the manufacture of the applicator 20. More specifically, the cavity 30 is at least partially formed by two opposing side walls 34, 36 parallel to the longitudinal axis of the handpiece 2 and a bottom 37 of the body 24. The applicator member 26 is partially retained in the cavity 30 and partially extends out of the cavity 30 through the opening 31. The body 24 may include a coupling boss (not shown) that extends into the cavity 30.
The body 24 presents a substantially elongated shape along the longitudinal axis of the handpiece 2. In cross-section, the body 24 assumes a U-shape, as shown in fig. 2.
As shown in fig. 2, the application member 26 may have the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped. The application member 26 then presents a substantially flat application surface 35 intended to come into contact with the hair to be treated. The dimensions of the application member 26 are for example 8mm x 10mm x 90mm, the application surface 35 intended to come into contact with the hair having for example dimensions 8mm x 90 mm.
The applicator member 26 is porous. It comprises, for example, a mixture of 50% by weight of polyethylene and 50% of polypropylene.
The material constituting the application member 26 may comprise felt, in particular the material is felt. The fibres of the felt may be oriented parallel to the surface of the lock of hair to be treated, the fibres preferably being oriented substantially in the longitudinal direction of the applicator member 26 and perpendicular to the direction D of passage on the hair. According to an alternative form, the fibres of the felt of the application member are oriented perpendicular to the surface of the lock of hair to be treated, and therefore perpendicular to the direction D and to the longitudinal direction of the application member 26.
The density of the porous material constituting the application member 26 is preferably 0.15g/cm3To 0.4g/cm3For example equal to 0.3g/cm3. The maximum amount of cosmetic product that can be contained in the application member 26 is for example between 2g and 5g, for example substantially equal to 4.5 g.
As mentioned above, the applicator 20 is removable and separable from the handpiece 2. When the applicator 20 is detached from the handpiece 2, it may be attached to the reservoir 40 associated therewith, the reservoir 40 and applicator forming an applicator system 60.
The reservoir 40 comprises a body 41 defining a cavity 42, the body 41 comprising a storage member 44 made of a porous material containing a cosmetic product.
The storage member 44 substantially fills the cavity 42 and is impregnated with a cosmetic product. In the alternative, the volume of the storage member 44 is less than the volume of the cavity 42. The reservoir 40 may then comprise an internal cavity containing an additional supply of cosmetic product closed by the storage member 44, so that the cosmetic product impregnates the application member 26 through the storage member 44 in contact with the application member 26.
The storage member 44 may include a blend of 50% polyethylene and 50% polypropylene by weight. The material constituting the storage member 44 may be felt. The fibers of the felt may be oriented parallel to the fibers of the applicator member 26 as it is inserted into the reservoir, the fibers preferably being oriented substantially along the longitudinal direction of the storage member. According to one alternative, the fibers of the felt of the storage member are oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the storage member 44.
The density of the porous material comprising the storage member 44 is preferably lower than the density of the porous material comprising the application member 26. Preferably, the porous material constituting the storage member 44 has a density of 0.01g/cm3To 0.1g/cm3For example equal to 0.05g/cm3. The amount of cosmetic product contained in the storage member 44 is such that the application member 26 can be filled at least once by capillary action, the storage member 44 containing an amount of cosmetic product greater than the amount of cosmetic product transferred to the application member 26. Preferably, the amount of cosmetic product contained in the storage member 44 is such that the application member 26 can be filled multiple times by capillary action. For example, the storage member 44 allows the application member 26 to be refilled at least eight times. The maximum amount of cosmetic product that may be contained in the storage member 44 may be 30g to 20g, for example substantially equal to 24 g.
The cavity 42 opens outwardly through an opening 43. The opening 43 is dimensioned such that during attachment of the applicator 20 to the reservoir 40, the applicator member 26 fits into the cavity 42 to be in contact with the storage member 44 in the cavity, and at the same time the body 24 fits into the neck 46 of the reservoir to rest over its entire lower circumference against the applicator support 47 at the base of the neck 46. Preferably, the support portion 47 forms a sealed connection with the body 24. Support portion 47 may comprise a resiliently deformable material forming a seal. In an alternative form, the body 24 comprises an elastically deformable material forming a seal at its junction with the support portion 47.
Preferably, as shown in fig. 4, the neck 46 is configured to fit between the rib 25 and the body 24, in particular in the space 27 formed between the lower profiled element 25b and the body 24, to prevent the applicator 20 from being mounted on the handpiece 2 when the applicator 20 is attached to the reservoir 40.
Preferably, when the applicator 20 is attached to the reservoir 40, the body 41 of the reservoir completely conceals the protruding part of the application member 26. The reservoir 40 then forms a cap for the applicator member 26, so that the applicator member 26 can be protected from the outside when the applicator 20 is attached to the reservoir and thus not in use.
Preferably, the storage member 44 has a larger volume than the administration member 26.
Preferably, the reservoir 40 and the body 24 include complementary embossments for retaining the applicator 20 on the reservoir 40. For example, as shown, the reservoir 40 may include protruding positioning and/or snap-fastening embossments 49, which positioning and/or snap-fastening embossments 49 are to be positioned and/or snap-fastened in corresponding embossments of the body 24.
Between two applications of cosmetic product, the user may attach the applicator 20 to the reservoir 40. The application member 26 is then brought into contact with the storage member 44 and refills the cosmetic product contained in the storage member 44 by capillary action. Refilling of the application member 26 with cosmetic product takes place for more than 90%, better for more than 95%, preferably within less than 5 minutes. Once the applicator member 26 is impregnated with the cosmetic product, the user can separate the applicator 20 from the reservoir 40 to mount it on the handpiece and use it again. This refilling may be carried out several times until the reservoir contains an amount of cosmetic product greater than the amount transferred to the application member 26 to fill it to more than 90%, better more than 95%.
The user may also remove the applicator 20 from the handpiece 2 between two uses separated in time to attach it to the reservoir 40. This makes it possible to protect the application member 26 and the cosmetic product from the outside, which increases the life of the applicator by limiting in particular the evaporation of the cosmetic product and/or the contamination of the cosmetic product by the external environment when refilling the application member 26 with the cosmetic product.
For example, the applicator system 60 may be replaced when the reservoir 40 no longer contains sufficient cosmetic product to refill the applicator member 26, or the reservoir 40 may be refilled with product from, for example, a bottle.
Examples of the invention
To generate the graphs shown in fig. 7 and 8, the device shown in fig. 1 and 2 and the applicator system shown in fig. 3-6 were used. In this example, the application member 26 comprises fibres oriented substantially in the longitudinal direction of the application member and parallel to the surface on which the cosmetic product is applied. It is made of a felt comprising a mixture of 50% polyethylene and 50% polypropylene, having a density of 0.3g/cm3。
The storage member 44 comprises fibers oriented substantially in the longitudinal direction of the storage member parallel to the fibers of the application member. It has a density of 0.05g/cm3Comprising a mixture of 50% polyethylene and 50% polypropylene. The storage member 44 initially contains 36g of cosmetic product, which allows at least eight fills of the application member 26.
The cosmetic product comprises the ingredients shown in the following table. The concentration is expressed as weight percent of active material in the product.
[ Table 1]
| Composition (I) | C |
| Dodecamethylpentasiloxane | 95 |

The anhydrous cosmetic product has a viscosity of 20 centipoise at 22 deg.C.
An application member filled with a cosmetic product is mounted on the handpiece by means of an applicator and at 80g/m from the manufacturer Clairefontaine2The paper strip was passed 70 times. Each strip was measured 27cm long and 10.5cm wide. On each pass, the arm of the hand piece applies a force of 35N +/-2 to each slip, and the application member moves over the slip at a speed of about 1.8 cm/s.
The weight of cosmetic product deposited on each strip at each pass was measured. The measurement of each passage of the application member through the paper is carried out after each filling of the application member with the cosmetic product through the reservoir, the application member being filled eight times by attaching the applicator to the reservoir and leaving it in place for 10 minutes. At the same time, the percentage of filling of the application member is measured as a function of the time the applicator spends on the reservoir.
The measured value of the weight of the cosmetic product deposited on the paper strip W at each passage N is reproduced in the graph of figure 7. The different curves each correspond to the measured values after one filling, curve 1 to the measurements taken after the first filling, curve 2 to the measurements taken after the second filling, and so on.
The measured value of the filling percentage of the application member a is reproduced in the graph of fig. 8 as a function of the attachment time t of the applicator to the reservoir at each filling, curve 1 corresponding to the measurement made during the first filling, curve 2 corresponding to the measurement made during the second filling, and so on.
It is found in the graph of fig. 7 that the respective curves are substantially identical, which clearly illustrates that the filling of the application member as described above makes it possible to perform on the paper the application of substantially identical cosmetic products for at least eight fillings of the application member.
In the graph of fig. 8 it is found that the application member is filled to more than 95% with cosmetic product in less than 5 minutes, in particular less than 3 minutes, whatever the number of fillings that have been carried out, and that the filling curve is substantially the same from one filling to another.
The invention is not limited to the examples just described.
The attachment of the applicator to the handpiece may be made by any other means, in particular by snap fastening or by means of magnetic attraction.
The reservoir may be free of a storage member made of a porous material.
The reservoir may include a shut-off valve for the reservoir that opens during attachment of the applicator to the reservoir. The reservoir may comprise a pump for bringing the product towards the application member when the application member is located on the reservoir.
